Another Chance for Colonizing!

Just heard from one of my favorite ebay dealers (jena216) that Coastal Carolina University (which I think is near Myrtle Beach) is going to add a sorority!

Those sororities already there are:
Gamma Phi Beta
Phi Sigma Sigma
Sigma Sigma Sigma

Those presenting are:
Alpha Delta Pi
Alpha Omicron Pi
Phi Mu

I'm going out on a limb and say that Phi Mu will get the nod, as each of the sororities already there have a Phi or a Sigma in their name. (but I can hope that I'm wrong, can't I? )

I never put the "phi" and "sigma" thing together. That's funny. Good luck to the presentation teams!

I sure hope the expansion committee uses a little more than just letters as their criteria in making this important decision!!!

Similarly, when my interest group chose DPhiE in 1987, there was/is a (now) 70 year old local called Phi Epsilon. Delta in science means "change" so there were some gasps when people said (briefly) we stood for "Change Phi Epsilon".

P.S. - that local is still going strong and only 3 of 9 groups are at total right now, Phi Ep, DPhiE and Alpha Phi!

I'm sure they will exercise good judgement

Good luck to the presenting sororities!

Coastal Carolina is in Conway, just outside of Myrtle Beach. Good luck to everyone presenting!
