Sigma Kappa
Are there any other Sigma Kappas on this board?
I'm almost afraid to ask, but if you have or had SK's on your campus, what were/are they like. I did read the SK forum, but there appears to be a few new people on the board from different schools and parts of the country. So, I'm curious to see if anyone can add any comments in regards to reputations, size, etc. We really aren't talked about much...I suppose that could be good. Nevertheless, my curiousity grows.
Thank you.

Hey shopgirl.... did you get your name from "you've got mail"? its cute anyhow Well my best friend just transferred this year from Baylor University in waco to ASU. She pledged sigma kappa and loves it. We are both from houston and I go to the university of houston here so i dont know what sigma kappa is like. I know that she loves it and choose that SK because she felt really comfortable with the girls. Where do you go to school?

Hey shopgirl!
I just wanted to let you know that if you look through far enough, I'm pretty sure there is a thread with the board giving their opinions on your sorority. We have them at my campus and they are okay. Sometimes a litte snobby but not all of them. The girls that I know from my floor last year are pretty cool.

Hi guys...
Thanks so much for your replies. I was really reluctant to ask.
bucutie02...
I did get my username from "You've Got Mail". It's one of my favorite movies. I couldn't decide what to use for my username and that just seemed to work. Thanks for asking!!!
Oh yeah, I am at the UofA...not far from your friend...in fact, we're rivals.
DWBMC...
Where do you go to school?

Hey Shopgirl
My friend mentioned something about going to the Sigma Kappa at U of A, do you remember having the SK's from ASU there this semester? I could be wrong on that!

Het bucutie02!
They did come to our house! It was for our Founder's Day. What did she think of it? It seemed to go well. Although it can be strange visiting other chapters. By the way, which GLO do you belong to?

Hey Shopgirl,
Well I am rushing this semester so I am not in a sorority yet !! Anyway, okay so she did go to your house. I wasnt sure if it was at U of A or some other school. Well she said that ya'lls house is BEAUTIFUL and wishes ASU had a house instead of dorm floors. Oh okay, now it is all coming back to me- she mentioned to me about your rooms that you have that have a lot of bunk beds in there. She said that the only thing that would bug her about it would be all the alarm clocks going off Have a good day!

Hey bucutie02!!!
Yeah, our house is really pretty. It's the second largest sorority house at the UofA. It's also the only sorority house not with all the other sororities...and that hurts us. We are actually getting a new house where all of the other houses are, but it's a very slow process.
About the rooms...
Most of the rooms have two beds in it. Therefore, those girls can live and sleep in that room. However, some of the rooms have one full size bed that usually acts as a couch. In that case they have to sleep in the sleeping porch...where the bunkbeds are. So yeah it can be weird, but if you are lucky enough to get a good room then there is nothing to worry about.
Are you at Baylor University?

Hi bucutie02!!!
I'm not originally from Arizona. I'm originally from New York. However, I'm a military brat, so that is to be debated. I became interested in the UofA because we were stationed in Yuma, Az...where I graduated high school. It's been great being here, but I plan on leaving when I figure out what it is I should do with my life!!!
It's too bad there isn't a Sigma Kappa chapter at the UofH that you could check out. Good luck with rushing!!!

Hey shopgirl, I'm a Sigma K at Penn State. I had read something written by someone else up here saying our nickname is "Sigma Krappa". I won't stoop to that level, but EVERY sorority has their nicknames. I just got initiated this semester and I love my sister and I love the orginization!

Hi Harmony!!!
Congrats on your initiation!!! Welcome to the sisterhood. So, how are we up at Penn State? I have visited your webpage once before. It seems to be going strong. I hear we are opening a chapter at the Univ. of Penn. That's good news since we really don't exist at many Ivy League schools. Keep in touch and good luck with your membership.

Hey there!
I go to a small school in Ohio that almost no one has heard of but it's okay.
Good luck on any finals you all may have left this week!

Hey shopgirl~
Our sisterhood is very close knit. Everyone really loves hanging out w/ each other and doing things together besides just socials. We seem to kinda do our own thing which I love. We still are kinda of new (at least compared to most of the other sororities), but we're definitely gettin it in good with everyone. It's awsome!
