soRhor Victoria Rowell coming to a town near you...

Hey has anybody heard about SoRhor Victoria Rowell's book tour? I was told she is promoting her new book entitled " The Women Who Raised Me" and is traveling all over the country. Just wondering if any Sorors on GC has heard anything. I know that she's coming to LA on April 17, 18 and New Orleans APril 19, and through Cincinnati/Dayton April 24,25.

i heard about this all over the listservs. if youre in the NYC area, she will be at Hue-Man bookstore in Harlem...

I just moved to Harlem on the 14th...I hate that I missed her! Oh, my heart hurts. Did anyone see her when she came? Does anyone have pics? Would love to see some...

Soror Rowell just graced our city on yesterday. She is absolutely stunning! Her beauty is only outweighed by her spirit. Those of us from Epsilon Kappa Sigma chapter who attended the event took a picture with her. Soror Rowell arrived wearing a black and white suit with an antique gold hat which she took off after she sat down. She greeted everyone and shared some of her views about some of the major issues going on today. As our gift to Soror Rowell, EKS presented a local dance company with a check. The money will be used to sponsor a foster child to attend the school of dance. Soror Rowell promised to grace our city again in the near future, and in fact is making plans to return in late June. We are looking forward to spending another lovely evening with her soon.

I found out this morning that she will be in Chi-town sometime at the end of May (I believe)!!

I attended this event in Dayton and Epsilon Kappa Sigma (Dayton Alumnae Chapter) and Mocha Readers did a fabulous job with this event. Kudos to the EKS Chapter Sorors for matching the tuition for a young foster child to benefit from the dance classes at Dayton Contemporary Dance Company! Soror Rowell also studied ballet as a youth and was widely successful in her dancing.

I purchased a VIP ticket which included a photo and an autographed copy of her book "The Women who Raised Me". She is a beautiful, gracious woman and her book is wonderful.

Last time I checked she was in the top 20's for the NY Times Best Seller list.

Please support Soror Rowell when she visits your city.
