Civic Orgs After College

Hey ladies!

I'm graduating college in a couple of months, but I am still hoping to stay involved in Civic Organizations that help cater to the needs of the black community. I was looking at 100 Black Women, but from what I'm hearing, that's more for older, more established women. My other choice was the Urban League or NAACP.

Besides that, do you all have any ideas? I've really enjoyed the groups I've been in on campus that have helped black people and I'm hoping to continue the trend. I really can't think of any other well-known Civic Organizations that allows young, recent college grads to get involved in the community aside from sororities. If this thread has been done already, I apologize in advance.

I joined the National Council of Negro Women just after college. Check them out. Also, the Junior League...well they don't cater to the African American community, so nevermind that. NCNW is good.

I tried to post that we had threads on The Links and the JR. League, but our server has been acting like "ugh".

The Black Elite thread may have more info as well.
