Post Does it really matter

Greetings to all-

I am a new member to GreekChat and I just wanted to stop in to say "Hello!" And to ask a simple question, if you all do not mind. Before I ask my question I hope that I am not offending anyone here(in this room) by this question, and if I do would you please forgive me, I mean no disrespect by this question.I am just curious and that is all.

My questtion is this: Does it matter what colors that one wear's to one of your functions? I know that what you wear speaks for itself but I would like to know because I don't want to disrespect you or your organization.

Thank you for taking the time out to read my question. May God bless you and keep you. And may you find the strength that you seek in him.

Hi constant,

First let me say Welcome to GreekChat!

Now on to your question:
I believe it really depends on what kind of function you are going to. My general advice is to wear neutral colors. If you are going to a membership function, it's not going to be great if you show up in a Royal Blue suit with a white shirt! Now, if you are at a community service activity (or a forum or a party), I say wear what you want and be comfortable. But in general, I would suggest that you wear neutral colors. Let your personality shine instead

PS>This is my opinion and not the opinion of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

Once again, Soror ZetaAce is right on. For service events, wear what is appropiate for that particular service. If you are talking other events, like membership or fundraisers, it is better to wear neutrals like khaki, tan, cream, black, brown and so forth. For example, at work today, I'm wearing charcol grey slacks and a cream silk/blend v-neck sweater and a pair of grey croc heels. That would be appropriate for most business casual events to which you would be invited. There is no hard and fast rule, as ZetaAce said, but I always suggest that women skew conservative, in both demeanor and attire.

Hope this helps,
shela
