Valetine's Day, for lovers & others!

So... what do you have planned? A romantic dinner? Hoping to get engaged? Hunting down the ex with a chain saw (and an extra can of gas)?

Do you have ideas for interesting dates, both with your SO, or with friends? Are you making cards? Or is watching GWTW & When Harry Met Sally 4 times each your goal? Let's share some fun.

Oh, and posts should be in a color which reflects your mood!

Well, this will be my first Valentine's in 10 years without a valentine (maybe Buffy will come through?). I just suggested that I get together with 33girl, but the weekend prior, I should be in Chicago (cross fingers!). I plan to straighten out the ex fiance, and pay a final tribute to Marshall Fields - and maybe meet wrigley!! I've already insisted in hitting two restaurants, a Chinese place and Gulliver's. If I get through this with a minimum of tears, I'll be thrilled!

I did mention to t*p that I'm looking for a card that says, "I think you're wonderful, but please marry someone else".

I have always sent Valentine's to the former mr. hc's two best friends, too, so we'll have fun (I hope!). One of these guys is somewhat slow, so he gets all excited. I have a photo of the three of them, standing with a HUGE lion at Old Orchard Mall, for which I have a somewhat derogatory name (The four biggest **** in Chicago). I may make copies of it and frame them for the guys, or make cards out of it.

And should things go well in two weeks, that lion may have a Terrible Towel on it for a photo op!!

Well, we don't have set plans as of yet. I don't think it will be anything big, but a ring is probably somewhere in the near future!!! I don't think he'll propose on Valentine's Day, but it will probably be soon after that.

Congratulations Amanda! How exciting!!

I will be spending another Valentine's Day at home, Alone, watching a chick flick. I have this sad tradition where I buy a movie and allow myself to eat whatever junk food I want when I watch it.(two years ago, when it started, it was 'Under the Tuscan Sun' and Ice Cream, last year was 'The Notebook' and cupcakes) Maybe next year....

I'm tempted to take the day off so I dont have to deal with the hordes of flower deliveries at work. Sleeping in, bottle of wine, and watching bad TV sounds so good right now.

Friends seem to think the very very very new boy might do something nice...his email to me yesterday consisted of the following: "I had a great time with you yesterday, I like you just the way you are..." So cute its disgusting...gag me...lol

I'll probably be working on homework or something - maybe I'll put in the BBC version of "Pride and Prejudice" for the day and watch it over and over again....then again, maybe I should go out with some girlfriends or something...

Since my birthday is only 3 days before and on a Saturday this year we're doing most of our celebrating on that night. We're going to see a musical in downtown Seattle and going out for a nice dinner. On Valentine's Day, Scott has to work so we'll probably just get one of the heart shaped pizzas from a local place and watch TV. We're all about low key V-days (though its my favorite holiday!)

I have no idea what we'll be doing! However, I did just receive a very nice gift card for Morton's from my VP, so perhaps we'll be enjoying a nice dinner!
