Finer Womanhood

Hi ladies, I've just recently begun to browse your forum but am amazingly impressed by how welcoming all of you are to both members and "sisterfriends." Trust that I've visited all other boards for the BGLO (sororities) orgs. and there's just a certain "je ne sais quoi" about this one. Don't get me wrong: I'd never "down" any particular group's board because they're all great in their own ways, but kudos must be given where they are due. I certainly appreciate the "love" here. Wow, I guess that's what "finer womanhood" actually entails. (BTW, I witnessed this very same thing on my campus as well-as a transfer student interested in BGLOs, I was a bit taken aback by the refinement of your organization) Well done.

Peace

ladygreek, that's exactly what I said! My exposure to members of this particular sorority has been somewhat limited, so maybe it's simply a good change of pace. Who knows? :-)

lol, I meant no disrespect to anyone. Hey, my mom's a Delta and most of my colleagues are AKAs, so it's all love IMO. But hey, I am an observer-it's a psychology thing, I suppose-and it's simply something that I noticed. BTW I have yet to "thoroughly" browse the SGRho board. The vibe just seems a bit different, that's all.

Peace

Maybe it would be helpful to each of us if you told us what vibe you picked up on each of our boards. We can't fix what we don't know is broken.

To be blunt (no pun intended) it just seems fishy that you would go to other NPHC BGLO sorority forums and say something similar over there, then come over here (ZPB forum) and say the same thing.

Not to point a finger and accuse you of this, but usually around this time of year there are a lot of Trolls and Trollquishas who post love and admiration for one NPHC org in their forum, they get disappointed because the org's members are like , so the Troll / Trollquisha will hit another org hoping to gain love/appreciation/ admiration from the second, third, fourth org since the Troll/Trollquisha has then posted in their org's forum. And the response in the other forums will still be .

Again, to be blunt, it seems like you are kissing up all over the place. Not a good thing to do, in person on campus / in the city where you live and on the internet because people will not take your interest in an org seriously.

Oh, and you are more than welcome to come over to the SGR forum. Just remeber when you post to insert 'Sigma' in place of Delta / AKA / Zeta.

sigmadiva, I've only posted in the Delta forum other than this one and, yes, I suppose my sentiments were similar but, upon careful reading of my posts, they're definitely not the same.

I like the term "Trollquishas," but surely I am not one of them. (nor Troll) ;-) No one in the Delta forum has given me any negativity; this is simply a matter of my own (personal) observation. I certainly am not here to seek love/appreciation/admiration from women/men whom I don't know on a personal/offline level. (no offense intended)

Kissing up? Wow, it's incredible how you were able to come to that conclusion from what...all of a couple of posts. I simply stated that there was merely something "unique" about Zeta's board. Geez, I'm sure there's something special about all of them. Naturally, I'd flock to the DST board first, considering my upbringing/environment/influences, etc. and, yes, I did feel a welcoming presence on that particular forum. This is my very first post on this board and my opinion (to which I am entitled) was based upon my viewing of other posters' threads. Period.

To slightly dignify your last statement, yes, I may perform searches on the SGRho board and, if applicable, I may make a statement which may (to you) mirror the one seen here or even on the board of Delta. *Please note: my words on Delta's board were as follows: "...I somehow stumbled upon GC, but am pleased that this resource is available to non-members as well. The topics here are quite diverse and rather interesting, to say the least. I greatly appreciate the supportive atmosphere and I look forward to learning more as my time here progresses." And, yes, I did state that I appreciate the vibe of that forum (in another post)...and I do. Is it inappropriate to appreciate the vibe of more than one BGLO's forum? I had no idea, honestly.

If that's "sucking up" from your perspective, then I should definitely rethink my definition of the word. Hey, I could be wrong.

Forgive the periphrasis, but No, I am not a troll. Yes, I've posted on both Delta's and Zeta's forums. No, I'm not sucking up, though I should not have even entertained that statement. And, finally, yes, I do appreciate the vibe of both forums but, for whatever reason, find this one to be a bit more inviting. Sue me already. (j/k)

sigmadiva, btw, I meant no disrespect in that statement either, but I did feel attacked there. I am not here to disrupt/disturb the peaceful aura of the Zeta forum. It's funny how a single compliment can cause such a misunderstanding.

Peace (really)

I'm not sure what you posted on any other forums that caused such an uproar and to be frank....I DON'T CARE!!

Thank you for the compliment. I hope that you continue to enjoy your time on GC in all of the forums including ours.

Thank you...

faithhopeluv:
The members of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority...to whom you were addressing, graciously accept your compliment in the manner in which it was given.

ALL: Let's not over analyze compliments, please.

If you have a personal observation about someone's comments here in the Zeta forum that directly impact your organizations reputation...TAKE IT OFF ZETA BOULEVARD... Take it to PM or contact the moderator or ME if you like I don't mind chin checking if necessary

It's all Greek love here. But we prefer no disturbances of the peace if no drama or offensive commentaries were made in the first place. I think its fair to say, if the comments were not directed to you or about YOUR organization...you should not be responding.

The guest commenting said nothing out of order in an NPHC respect. Every organization has their own reputation/personality and folks will connect for different reasons to said organization both on the net and offline...this is yet another reason to be mindful of how you respond both online and in person to folks queries and comments.

Regards,
Finer Woman 10-A-91
