Report Outlines Alleged Gang Rape At UTC

The 18-year-old female bringing allegations of gang rape against seven UTC football players said she was carried into Boling Apartments "due to her intoxicated state."

UTC on Monday released the full report in the case.

It says the young woman gave the report on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 23, of the incident that occurred early Friday morning, Oct. 21. She said it happened between 2:30 and 4:30 in the morning at Room 202 of Boling Apartments.

She said that on Thursday night and early Friday morning, she attended a party with friends at the Lambda Chi Fraternity and consumed bottled alcoholic beverages. She said that between 1:30 and 2 a.m., a large group of UTC football players came inside to join the party.

She said that during the course of the party, she became separated from her friends. The party began to break up around 2:30 to 3 a.m.

She said that as the party was breaking up, Terrence Thomas told her he would take her home. She said Adam Daigler drove both of them back to Boling Apartments and he left.

She said Thomas carried her up to his apartment and took her to his bedroom, where he said she could sleep. She said he laid her on the bed and took off all of her clothes.

She said she noticed that Thomas also took off his clothes and was standing beside the bed having sex with her while she lay sideways on the bed.

She said he stopped a short time later, then he had a conversation with some other males who were standing inside his bedroom watching.

She said she then "became very scared and defensive as the other 7-10 males present in Room 202 began taking turns having sex with her."

She said she was able to get off the bed and make it to the restroom, "fending off males trying to enter the restroom."

She said she then tried to go back to the bedroom to retrieve her clothing, but was forced into the common area "where the 7-10 males once again forced sexual acts upon her including unwanted and forced oral sex."

She said she began hitting the males in an attempt to get them to stop and recalls hitting Thomas repeatedly during the encounter. She said she possibly hit another male as well.

She said one of the males hit her, but she does not recall who it was.

She said she then was taken back into Thomas' bedroom, where he and others performed unwanted sexual acts on her again.

She said afterwards, Thomas threw her clothes at her, telling her to put them on.

She said she was then driven to UTC Place and left there.

This is an awful story and God forbid it being true for this poor girl. But does anyone else read anything odd into it? Like was she given GHB or something? Perhaps it is just the way the author wrote it, but it sounds odd. That's just me anyway....

She noticed that he was having sex with her???????????????????????????????????? That is the craziest line I've ever heard. This is a crazy report.

By the way, I'm not intending to downplay the seriousness of any rape report, but how does a woman get oral sex forced on her?

If everything here is true and upfront, it is written very strangely. Strange enough to cause some doubts perhaps.

I thought it was just me that had to read that part more than once.

This is written strangely and if its true - poor girl.

I believe they meant they forced her to perform oral sex on them.

I think the question still remains-she could just not open her mouth or at least bite down in defense!

But, having never been in such a situation, I can imagine that if the threat was large enough, a woman would comply with the demand. And I'd say 7 men is a large enough threat!

If she bites down on one, there are 6 others. One could have pried her jaw open. She could have been screaming for help and had it shoved in.

Things happen in rape cases that are really unimaginable to most of us (and I hope that they stay that way).

Because there were 7-10 men in the room. NO ONE CAN OVERPOWER 7-10 MEN.

Hey! Yes - that's what I meant. And having personal experience with a frighteningly abusive man, you CAN refuse oral sex, even if you are being beaten and knocked in the face.

It's a lot harder to fend off vaginal sex if someone (or lots of someones) is holding you down. I've never be *raped* in that sense but I've definitely had sex attempted to be forced on me with significant violence involved. I just didn't do it even though I got beat down. You always have a choice. I'll tell you this, I KNOW that a man by himself would have to kill me before I'd allow anything like that to happen. But, if it's a group of men, I could only fight my hardest and hope I get away.

Unfortunately, in her case, she wasn't in complete control of her faculties with the alcohol in her system.

It could be argued, and probably has been, that a reasonable woman would not fight 7-10 males and come out on top. It even says she TRIED TO FIGHT THEM OFF.

I cannot believe that rather than having compassion for this poor violated woman, y'all are saying she didn't do enough.

I think the lack of compassion might come from the way the article was written, and how every accusation starts "She says..." in a new paragraph. That is really weird. Also, how could she have taken off all her clothes herself, and not noticed that the other guy did too, and then oh ok there are all these others guys in there too. How do you not notice that? Unless, GHB was involved... but I'm not too knowledgeable on that topic.

It says that he took off her clothes.
