Munich

Sorry if this is a repost, but I couldn't find anything in a search. If this is in fact a repost, please feel free to delete this thread.

Anyways, I saw this last night. The movie was probably 2 and a half hours too long.

The movie wasn't that bad, but I certainly didn't think it was that good.

About the only good part was the naked girl getting shot up, however I would have done it differently.

I thought the acting was pretty good though.

I give this movie 2 and a half stars

Too long. Too drawn out.

Fake story based on a conspiracy theory discredited book.

The Mossad killed all the men involved without remorse. There is no remorse about killing terrorists. But for Spielberg, because they are Jewish they have to be pussies like they were before WWII.

Also, the main character is made to be feminine. The guy loves cooking and wears an apron. He cries during sex. Cut me a break. The Mossad chooses members of Kidon teams pretty carefully and submits them to hours of physical torture and emotional pressure before they're allowed to head out.

And aside from pushing that stupid moral crap, Spielberg shows the World Trade Center in a scene discussing what we lose to fight terrorism.

One thumb up for the exciting action parts, 2 thumbs down for everything else.

--He should have retired after Saving Private Ryan (another movie that made pussies of men, but at least did it in a great film)

<hijack>
How did Saving Private Ryan make pussies of men?

I don't think I've ever heard a D-Day vet complain about that...

Gee I don't know...a guy not fighting and letting a German kill an American as he watches is one example I can think of. There are more.

So you think that didn't really happen in war? People break under the stress of combat - and they break in all kinds of ways.. including paralyzing shock.

To me thats not "making pussies" of the men, but rather portraying a more realistic cross-section of the experiences of the men and women who fought in that war.

I'm sure gay sex happens during war.

--Too bad Spielberg didn't show gay sex to create a realistic cross-section.
