hi guys....im sure you have all been watching the news and are well aware of whats going on in wv...well i am from wv and go to college just 5 or 6 miles from the mine....i run a basketball league that has a few of the families children on the teams so i know a few people through association involved in the accident...i also have friends who are kin to the miners...also my family and family friends have all been involved in coal mining so i know somewhat what its like and...i just ask you guys to pray for the loved ones and all those affected by this horrible tragedy and ask you pray for the one survivor...he needs your prayers and so do they...also they need your prayers for what to is come...this small town will be swamped by attorneys and other people trying to make money off their horrible tragedy...i also ask you, if you have been turned off from coal mining bc of this...to think about what all coal does for our nation...this is a horrible tragedy but we do not need to turn our backs on the coal corporations...coal keeps the lights on guys...it also provides jobs for over 35000 people in wv...if you got anything at all from my post please let that be the prayers that these people need....
sorry i ran on...i just thought they need yuor prayers and coal corporations need our support...

esl&l,
summer

Thanks, Summer!

While watching the sad news on the tv, my first thoughts were that I hoped that no sister lost a loved one.

A similiar incident can happen at any time, anywhere, almost any industry.

When I went down to watch the Sugar Bowl parade last Sunday, as a UGA fan, I was surrounded by WV fans. The few that I met were very very nice (okay there were a couple of exceptions, lol).

When my brother was in college, he dated a Hatfield..yea. one of those, lol, and went to visit her. He remarked about what a beautiful state it was.

It shows that no matter what part of the country (or world) you are from, we are all humans with the same feelings.

It's a small state but that only brings everyone closer.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, your friends and your State.

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone. Being right next door to y'all, I know what this will bring to the small world they all once lived in.

God watch over and protect you all.

Of course our thoughts and prayers go out to the miners and their families. What a horrible tragedy.
