The Producers

I just saw it and I highly recommend it! There were all of 8 of us in the theatre and we all laughed our azzez off.

I'm a big fan of the original Zero Mostel - Gene Wilder movie, but I was not disappointed at all in the musical.

I just read that one of our kid's pals from high school, who is now playing in Mama Mia in NY had a small part as one of the Nazi's in the movie.

Son saw the show last night and said it is really funny.

He confirms that the kid from our High School is in the show, along with another guy son knows from Oklahoma.

The guy from the HS makes at least two from that school who are currently on stage in New York.

Maybe there's hope for the son.

Brother Ferrell is a Delt. Must have been interesting times around the old chapter house.

Will Ferrel was absolutely PERFECT for that role! As much as I am not an Uma "fan", she did pretty good. I really enjoyed it (my father hated every minute of it!)

Seems to me that Matthew Broderick was having a bit of trouble translating his character to the screen. (Kept looking at the camera as if waiting for a reaction of the musical's audience.)

Who else noticed Jai from "Queer Eye"?

Who else stayed till the end of the credits??? If you didn't, you missed some funny parts! Go back and see it again! (or just wait for the DVD so you can fast forward to that part!)

I did notice Jai - thought that was funny!

And YES - stay through ALL the credits. I did that anyway because I am such a movie nerd.

I'll admit that we didn't like the first 15-20 minutes, but after that, WOW!!!! I'll give it four and a half stars out of five.

Will Ferrell truly makes the show, IMHO. I've seen the original movie & stage show, but never would have considered him as so perfect for that role!!
