Sick today :-(
My voice has been gone for the past few days and I'm suffering from a sore throat. I went to work yesterday, but was really miserable. I'm staying home today and will be seeing my doctor this afternoon. I hope I'll be better soon...

Wow...what a bummer. That sounds like the same crud we had over Christmas. You might want to check with the doc to see if he wants to prescribe antibiotics. Once we had them in our system, we felt better within a day.

Went to the doctor's today. She said that it's viral, so there aren't any antibiotics that she can give me. Basically, I'll just feel a little down for another few days. She did give me a nasal spray for some relief. My voice is still hoarse :-(

hey ! at least you have a voice - mine comes in and out when it feels like it, and i sound like im 12 going through puberty again  boooooo
and on top of it im sicker than sick - and my asst. mgr is out of town on vacay - and im the next in line, so guess who gets to work all week!! tues - sat, i only get sunday off, and then have to work mon & tues of next week and theeeen get on an airplane to only fly to the frozen tundra also known as upstate New York to visit my family.  im never going to get well !!
but good luck to you, rest for me too!

You should take some of this. It's manna from heaven.
And it's basically glorified ginseng, so you don't need to worry about it having some freaky side-effects on you.
That and some Oil of Oregano...3 drops under your tongue, 3x a day. That health food store, The Big Carrot on the Danforth would definitely have it.
