What's Your Favorite Home Cooked Meal?

What's your favorite home cooked meal that mom used to make?

For me: Roasted chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans

if I am cooking: homemade mac and cheese (it's my speciality)

if my dad is cooking: beef burgundy

if my mom is cooking: roasted chicken with the potatoes and carrots cooked in the same pan as the chicken

I like food

My mom's mac and cheese is to die for. We're not talking Kraft dinner here - we're talking ziti, tomatoes, cream, cayenne, bread crumbs for the crispy crust, and LOTS of cheese.

Homemade mashed potatoes and turkey and corn.... pretty much our Thanksgiving dinner.

Or the egg mixed wtih potatoe fried. From Italian it's translated to "fried potatoes with egg".

With real mashed potatoes, hot dog or tomato gravy. Soo yummy and so bad for you. Toss in a steamed veggie as a side and you're good to go! (I think the gravies came from PA Dutch or Amish folk.)

Pot roast, with potatos & carrots cooked with it.

Or ham & cabbage.

My mom's mashed potatoes with her pasta salad...yummy.

I love my mom's mashed potatoes.....she always has to make a TON cause i'll eat them as a main course instead of meat or whatever she makes.

Hands down, her spaghetti. I will never be able to make it as she does. I also enjoy her lemon-and-pepper catfish.
