How much are recs taken into consideration @ KD?

hey girls! i'm going to rush this fall and I was wondering how much KD takes recommendations into consideration because I know some sororities take them into more consideration than others. Thanks!

Depends on the chapter.
Some chapters could care less, some chapters may cut you without them unless you are a really fabulous candidate.

If you're going to rush again at FSU, which is a fairly competitive rush, and considering that you've had a prior unsuccessful rush, I would highly recommend that you secure recs for as many groups as possible.

Pretty much any chapter in the south is going to take recommendations more seriously than anywhere else, although I've heard that it's starting to become a bigger deal at the bigger chapters in California. When I asked for recs from my hometown alumnae panhellenic near Seattle, I kind of had to explain how the whole "you should go out and find recommendations" thing worked because rush is a lot more relaxed up there.

Good luck going through recruitment and finding good recommendations for the chapters at your school!
