Are the Miami Hurricanes the best college football team ever?
In my opinion the answer is hell yeah!!! I've never seen a college football display the heart year in and year out like these guys. With so many guys leaving early for the NFL draft these guys continue to be a force..... simply amazing.

Uh.. you were playing Louisville.
And if your Mr. Heisman's pass thrown right to the frickin' chest of their corner had been intercepted, you'd be crying about how far your team has fallen.

NO
ever would be one of the early days' Notre Dame teams.
or college program still Notre Dame or Oklahoma though Tennessee has one of the best records in the last 75 years
but if you were to say the last 25 years you have a point
This year my money is actually on Oklahoma though i could give the title to Auburn easily
and beware of Virginia at home who i am seriously thinking of putting money on to beat Miami.

Didn't the University of Miami almost drop their football program in the 1970s because they were so bad? That seems to disqualify them as da best teem evar.

Other than FSU, who does Miami play thats worth a damn? They played UF a couple times recently and won both games...but it's not a consecutive match up year in and year out.

Virginia is in the ACC. Until this season, they rarely, if ever, played them. Miami and Virginia Tech have been in the Big East, so they have played every year for many years. This year, they are now both in the ACC. This season, Miami will play both Virginia and Virginia Tech.

AXEAM: To answer your question, "Yes".
(Disclaimer - - I don't think there is ONE best team EVER, but I think of the best teams, Miami is right up there). Go 'Canes!

I believe Florida State will take care of Virginia, if I were you I wouldn't throw my money away and thats what you would be doing by betting against the CANES.

You don't win (5) National Championships by not playing good teams if you look @ the teams that the CANES have played and defeated in the past 20yrs that list would be the best CFB programs in the nation.

Wrong!!! but I do believe their (5) National Championships in 20 yrs would qualify them, the fact that Miami rose from cellar dwellers in the 70's to become the best team of the 80s and the 90s and so far the 2000s is a testimony to their greatness.

If ifs and buts were candy and nuts everyday would be Xmas, bottom line Miami showed the heart of a lion and came back to win the game just like great teams always do.....oh and Louisville was the #19 team in the Nation.

Idaho State did the same thing against Tulsa.
So what's your point exactly?
They were still nearly pummelled by a Mid-Major team. They may be good, they may have played with heart. But I wouldn't go so far as to say that they're the best in the USA.
