2005 NFL Thread

Ah, the Week One recap:

Lesson learned from Thursday: If you don't double cover Randy Moss, you're going to get BURNED, no matter if you're the Patriots or the Packers.

Raven fans, I don't get how you have that good a defense but yet....oh wait, yeah I do: Kyle Boller sucks!!!!!

Let me repeat that:
Kyle Boller is TERRIBLE!

Did you guys see Antonio Gates catch the winning TD against the Cowboys? Uh, wait, that didn't happen! Martyball baby!

It's way too early to call Losman the real deal, but damn that was a good performance.

And finally, for at least a day or so, Saints fans can have some sense of normalcy, however small it is. I really hope they make the playoffs, but either way I believe they're doing an incredible, inspired job right now considering.

The Good: Giants won big, Chad Morton had a good debut. Plaxico was ok in his debut.

The Bad: Eli was still shaky and my fantasy team bit the big one. If I had just started Frerotte instead of Pennington or Delhomme I would have been ok.

Oh yeah, the ending to the Dolphins/Broncos game was probably the most pitiful thing I've ever seen. Jake Plummer's GOT TO GO!

The defense had a solid day; Pierce, Strahan and Wilson all were awesome yesterday.

Some pretty good predictions!

Especially after the way the Colts D played last night. Or wait. Was it the Colts D that was great or the Ravens offense that sucked?

Anyways, I say Atlanta goes all the way. I say that because Ron Mexico is the shit, and because if they win then they can play "HEEEEEEY YAAAAAA" and do fun touchdown dances.

I certainly hope the Patriots lose. Although my new favorite football commercial this year is the tom brady visa one with his lineman/metaphor protecting him during his date. " HAHAHAHAH NO"

That was hilarious!

My favorite is the Diet Pepsi one where the vending machine gets drafted. I laughed my ass off at that!

Naw, that was a funny one, but that RANDOM ass Burger King commerical where the BK guy intercepts Drew Bledsoe and does the dance in the end zone gets my vote.

Or when he catches Randy Moss' lateral from last year.

-It's only funny because of the old school brass music playing in the background.

The Burger King one is pretty funny, but I don't know. That burger king dude still creeps me out.

I haven't seen the Diet Pepsi one getting drafted but I certainly am looking forward to it.

Which Jake?

He's got to be one of the most inconsistant QB's in the league from week to week.

See, here's the thing. I think Jake needs to come on over next Sunday before the game and smoke some weed with my neighbor. Dude's a little stressed, or something. He and Ashley Lelie can get hiiiiigh together and get past whatever it was that made them suck this week.
