BIG SQUIRREL ALERT... question time?

So I was wondering... I am about to hit my five years out mark and was thinking... what VST, both locally and IHQ, positions are the hardest to fill? What does IHQ see as being needed the most in the future?

Will you be staying where you are or are you moving?

Speaking as a CA, check with your CA to see if there is an EC or non-EC position available. Finance and Recruitment Advisors seem to not want to stay involved long in some chapters, lol.

ALUMNAE RELATIONS COORDINATOR ADVISOR!!

Check the VST page on the IHQ site. I think it has which ones are currently open but that might change after the new Big Squirrels are installed.

Well when your local CA doesn't take advantage of you... she isn't a good source.

But I was just wondering in general... instead of knowing a little about everything... what one position is needed the most?

I.E.

I am just now going into my 4th year of Alumna status, but I have been working with the alumnae and HA. I don't live close enough to my chapter to be property advisor and the other chapter is full of advisors right now. Also I would like to work with the chapter in a closer fashion... ritual or recruitment. Then one day work up to being a Big Squirrel and then one day being an even BIGGER Squirrel.

So I guess that is really my question... what one BIG VST Squirrel is the hardest VST position to fill?

Finance. It takes a special kind of brain and extreme organization to do Finance. I was a PFS for 6 years and I am not a financial type person.

It's more important to follow your passion and let your enthusiasm and dedication carry you further I love the whole operations aspect of PDC and ACC, personally. I like to get the whole picture. With Finance, I just knew what money they were spending and earning, but didn't know how, what they did at Recruitment, how their scholarship was, etc. I am more suited to "Inspiring the Woman" in a holistic way.
