Don't dis the U (Miami 27 Va. Tech 7)

Miami proved once again why they are still the measuring stick for College football after they manhandled the Hokies saturday night.
I had to eat a lot of crow last year b/c of games losted by the CANES to North Carolina & Clemson as well as Va Tech but you must remember that Brock Berlin was the QB last year this guy was maybe the worst D-1 QB in the country (Besides Chris Rix of FSU) in other words Brock Berlin was to Miami what George W. Bush is to America.

That game was the SHIT!

I loved the way Miami's D punked baby Vick around. So much shit talking in that game.

I wasn't really pulling for anyone. I respect both programs ALOT but I thought it was really cool how motivated The U was for this game. I guess I'd be pissed to if my opponent didn't respect me enough and overlooked me for USc or some other future opponent.

dude, you never have to eat crow with the U.

Miami is the shit and always will be the shit. They are the standard for college football.

I would really like for Miami to make the Rose Bowl so the two programs that have dominated NCAA football the past 6 years can duke it out. But ofcourse Texas is very deserving.

Best of luck to the Canes.

Actually I dont think anyone doubted Miami at all. Tech knew they had to come in there and play .. and they didn't.

It was just a massacre to watch. They just didnt seem like they were motivated to play that night at all.

Oh yes they did ...it was as if they figured the CANES would just come to Blacksburg and roll over. I knew (as Bobby put it baby) Vick would have troubles w/ the speed of the CANES D-Line but I was really impressed w/ their O-Line and QB Kyle Wright this guy is going to be a great one he has that swagger that fits into CANES team makeup.

* Yeah Bobby it was a good one it reminded me of those old Hurricanes teams who took on all comers....and won.

CORSO'S PICK: Miami

SHERIDAN'S PICK: Miami

FINAL LINE: VT (-1.5), which is absurd considering they were playing at home . . . it was essentially a pick'em game for an undefeated team with one of the best home records in history . . .

and finally, the biggest one:

RC'S PICK IN LOCAL PICK'EM POOL: Miami, for 5 pts

I think Miami was getting enough respect, given the situation . . . everyone knows at this point that they're one of the top teams in the nation, but probably not one of the top 2.

Ok.. still dont believe anyone doubted them. No one thought they would come there and roll over either. Tech knew Miami was a good team, and usually its always a great game no matter the rankings.

Like I said it was a massacre, Miami came ready to play, Tech didnt.

One of the local sportscasters played football at Va. Tech. I saw him at Friday's game and asked what he thought of the game. He said he wasn't sad, but MAD! He felt the coaches made poor decisions in play calling.

Personally - I think Va Tech went in there not prepared for Miami. Thought it was an easy win. Anyone should know that Miami is a good team!

why diss the U? Ga Tech is a good team.

I would only diss the U if they were too chicken to schedule Fresno State and instead placed Appalachian State when the Bulldogs called them ...cough cough LSU...cough cough.

Miami doesn't play patsies. The U is a program with balls!
