I just got home from the theater. It was good, I enjoyed it. I heard Reece and however you spell his name did their own music-is that true?

Reese had to learn to sing and play autoharp. Joaquin had to learn to play guitar (Johnny style, of course) and sing, too. Their voices are on the soundtrack, too. They sound eerily like Johnny and June. Supposedly June picked Reese to play herself in the movie right before her passing. I'm excited to see it.

I really really really liked it, but then again, Reese Witherspoon can do no wrong in my book, so that's sort of a given.

I would marry her, and eat soup out of her face every day.

I saw the movie this saturday night. I enjoyed it, but thought it was a little on the long side based on the time frame the movie covered.

It mostly was about how he became the person he did and his love for June Carter. It really didnt focus much on his first wife or children.

I thought the movie was good though.

ITA, sugar and spice. I can never see Reese cast as in a bitchy role...I have a friend from high school who thinks she's just like Elle Woods. She was president of Kappa and studying for her LSATs around the time Legally Blonde was released in theatres.

I saw the movie this weekend....waited in line for tickets because everyone there wanted to see Harry Potter...they should have had a line for Harry and another for everyone else...Reese and Joaquin did a wonderful job singing. Reese had so much spunk!!

I think Reese is great as well.

Overall, I enjoyed the movie. I really felt for Joquin during the scene when Johnny was talking about his deceased brother and how people wished it was him; gave me the chills because I was thinking of River Pheonix. Can't help but wonder how much of that was acting on Joquin's part and how much was coming from his heart about his real brother.

I did think it got a tad long at one point towards the end. I don't know why, but my ADD-ness started kicking in which typcially doesn't happen in movies.

I co-sign this in reference to Phoenix's scene about his brother. If I remember reading this correctly several years ago, Joaquin was there the night in 1993 that his brother OD'ed and held his dying brother in his arms that night outside The Viper Room.

This movie was extremely moving and I dare to say, I enjoyed it more than Ray last year. Fox definitely deserved the Oscar last year but Phoenix OWNS the Oscar for Best Actor this year.

I so would, but I don't know where you're grits have been. I don't like just any butter in my grits...
