Soror Rosa Parks Has Passed Away

Link to news article

May our beloved Soror rest in peace and may all of us pick up the torch and carry on her legacy.

There is much to be done.

I was truly shocked.

Her failure to move helped to jump start the CRM. Her story and the story of the Civil Rights Movement must never die. We have to make sure that WE keep the history and the legacy alive.

I am in tears. Let's continue in the service of what our Soror taught us by her humble example.

Shalom~

As I wrote in the News thread - . I have been expecting this (because of her age and health,) but it is still very sad.

My condolences to my Sistergreeks for the loss of a wonderful lady.

No words seem adequate.

A beautiful soul who FOUGHT so that the liberties we have today would come to pass.

Rest in Peace, Mrs. Rosa Parks. You have certainly been a good and faithful servant.

Yes, she was ill. However, it's never a good thing to hear of anyone's passing. You always (well I ) always hope for the best.

This has truly been a sad time for us in the passing of some of the great Black icons - Ossie Davis, Shirley Chisolm, Rosa Parks, C Delores Tucker...
