I've heard of players buying houses for their parents with their first contract, but nothing like this.

I have! Back when Armand Gilliam was in his heyday, he bought his parents & each of his brothers houses, and had his father's church rebuilt. I don't know if he's helped out with his mother's pet project (a home for unwed mothers) or not, but he's been VERY generous with his church & family!

That's cool!
When I was in high school we used to play basketball against this church school in San Antonio where David Robinson and a couple of other players from the Spurs went to church. You should've seen the gym!
