(this guy has become a new FSU legend):
Oct. 29, 6:36 p.m.: A Florida State University Police Department officer was working at an FSU football game. Suddenly, a person dressed as the "Burger King Man" was observed running across the football field from the south end to the north end zone. The male had no reason to be on the field, as he is not a player or official and has no affiliation with athletics.
The "Burger King Man" ran across the field almost to the north end zone when he saw some deputies blocking his exit. The male ran to the wall, where he jumped up and tried to exit the field. The officer got down to the wall, grabbed the "Burger King Man's" arms and assisted him over it.
The male told the officer he jumped over the wall at the south end zone and started running to the north end zone. He said the reason he did it was because he'd seen five commercials that day with the Burger King catching a ball on a football field and felt compelled to do the same.
The "Burger King Man" was placed under arrest for trespassing on school grounds. He was secured in double-locked handcuffs behind his back and escorted out of the stadium.
The male is a current FSU student.
