Badge Question

Ok here's the deal...on Founder's Day I have a big business dinner to go to that evening. I'm thinking about wearing a suit (I really don't want to wear a skirt)...so my question is do you wear your badge on the jacket or on your blouse?

BTW Shelia, at the business dinner I'm planning on having a glass or two of wine WITH MY BADGE ON...oh the horror!! (maybe I'll pin it to my bra strap, because that's SOO much classier!! )

If Sidney Allen can have an adult bevvie with her badge on, you certainly can, so don't worry about that.

We were always told do not wear it on your lapel, but seeing as I've seen the national ritual chair do just that, I'm guessing it was a chapter rule. I would think if you are going to keep your jacket on it's OK - this probably was the reason for it coming up in the first place. If you were going to take your jacket off your pin shouldn't just be "hanging out" on your jacket or lapel.

Talking

When I was at District Days a few weeks ago many of the older sorority women (who wore suits)wore their pins on their jackets. I agree that if you are going to take the jacket off you should wear it on your blouse.
As far as drinking, I think you can drink sensibly. My thoughts on drinking with your badge/letters is you shouldn't do it if you are going to get stupid drunk. But a glass or two (or three ) should not be a problem.
