Is that a bag at the beginning of AHDN? I thought it was a little pyramid-shaped carton.

Is it? It's been a while...

I didn't think milk bags existed when I saw the movie. That may be why that's what I thought it was.

I like my milk bags. They're way better than cartons or jugs that take up all the space in the fridge. Milk bags are the best!

I hear that milk bags are an Ontario thing. There's an FAQ in the For Better or For Worse website about them, and they get emails from Canadians from other provinces too!

For Better or For Worse Q and "Eh"

Q: Are all milk bags the same size?
A: Yeah, pretty much. Unless you count those drinkable milk pouches we all used to drink when we were little at school. But that's a whole other species of milk bag compared to what this site is about.

They sell them in BC too, but I have to admit that I see them more in Victoria than I do in Vancouver.

It took me a while to figure out there was no friggin' milk bags in Detroit.... lol..I can't stand milk in jugs and carton.

BTW, saying "milk bags" is a bit strange..this is the first time I'm using the term!

Ok wow. I live in Texas and can honestly say that I have never heard of the term "milk bag" or the actual product. Craziness. Interesting though. You learn something new everyday.

And yeah, that flowery milk pitcher is terrible. But the Q&A was hysterical.

"wud de fook is dat shit aboot?"

A: How can you accidently throw a milk bag anyway?
Q: *walks into the kitchen* Hmm...some milk with donuts would be nice! *grabs the pitcher. it slips* WHOOPS.

Picture of milk bag

The only other milk bags I've seen are those that they put in milk dispensers in cafeterias.

well..uhmm..our family only really drinks the milk bag version, so naturally we dont have to describe the kind of milk we need to get. I don't know, it just habit I guess.

I don't really drink milk though (intolerance) ..

when I was growing up in Serbia my paternal grandmother always bought the milk bags because it was daily milk, meaning it was fresher (also it was cheaper than the one that you can find it a tetrapak, the cardboard rectangle which is the non-daily milk. We don't have the plastic jugs that you can get at the supermarket).

It tasted just fine until she boiled it and the skim stuff grew on the top, and I always made her scrape it off cos I thought it was gross.

I've often wondered why you can't find soy milk or lactose-free milk in milk bags. Hmm...
