Elizabethtown
haven't seen it yet. heard the soundtrack, though. Cameron Crowe picks out some great soundtracks.

Saw a preview... and I'm still baffled over Orlando Bloom without an English accent...

(mainly b/c it will be Orlando's first movie without some kind of accent and a strange costume)
He's going to be wearing normal clothes!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just reading the premise, this movie sounds like "Garden State" but with a bigger budget.

I read that the film's director, Cameron Crowe, has been working on the script for this oen for ages. So, I'm sure that its just a coincidence.
Such being said, i'm looking forward to seeing this. Orli w/ no accent or dated costume. woo hooooo!!

Alright.. so I just got back from seeing this movie. I saw it in one of those advance free screenings with my mom.
I really really enjoyed this movie. So many times I was on the verge of crying then something amusing would happen.
Its a love story, but not really chick flickish.. its about life and figuring out yourself.
All I can say too is that it definately made me want to go on a long road trip across country even more than I have already been wanting to.

It looks cute, but I probably won't see it until it comes out on DVD.

I kind of want to see it just because it was filmed near here, but Kirsten Dunst is in it, isn't she? I'm not a real big fan of her.
I can't really tell from the previews what it's about. Does it have much of a plot or anything?

Angelic, thanks for posting what you thought of it! You made me want to see it even more than I already did.
I'm way excited about seeing it. And ditto to everyone who said they're excited to see Orlando without a period costume. He's such a cutie.

Ooooooh....I am so excited to see this movie!
In the previews, he sounds weird to me without the accent, but seeing him wear those jeans....mmmmmm....
Anyway, it looks really funny!!!

I'll be in Vegas this weekend celebrating my sisters birthday & she wants me to take her to see this movie while we're there. Not my idea of fun but it is her birthday so I'm stuck. I'm not a big fan of movies like this but oh well. It could be worse.

I love Cameron Crowe, but, uh . . . Garden State redux? I'll see it, but I don't know if I'll like it as much as I liked Almost Famous or Say Anything.

Sidenote: I bought "Almost Famous" yesterday at Target for $7.50. I love that movie.
I hope it's not too much like Garden State. But, I also loved that movie, so if it's somewhat similar it probably won't bother me too much.
