Greeks mocked by society yet again. (spoof article)

this time in one of my favorite "publications", The Onion

The Onion: "Bob Marley Rises From the Grave to free Frat Boys from Bonds of Opression"

it's funny how hipocritical alot of these non-greeks can be. They're MORE/AS judgemental as they claim the Greeks (stereotype) are...

Haha.

That's the Wisconsin Sig Ep house in the background, by the way.

Seriously. I can't believe anyone would be upset about something posted in the Onion, of all places.

" All proceeds from the benefit, which could prove the largest gathering of reggae-loving frat members since the Reggae Sunsplash tour in 1997, will go to a legal-defense fund overseen by the North American Interfraternity Conference.

Admission to the concert will be free for any member of the fraternity system wearing a baseball hat cocked to the side or back.

Although Marley will return to his grave after the Cabo San Lucas concert, he said he will rise up occasionally to give impromptu shows in the billiard rooms, arcades, and basements of fraternity houses across the nation."

I'm in.

Ronald Regan Rooney Scalia, the greatest American of all time and an esteemed member of a prominent fraternity, once said that humor is evil and we must spend our days bitter. He also said that each day lacking something to complain about is a wasted day. After all, it says nothing about being funny in the Constitution.

ETA: Oops, I'm making fun of the wrong Hoosier. Oh well.

Ha ha. That's great.

Just think how much more they'd make if they added Jerry Garcia as a dual headliner.

i was never upset. i love the Onion and read it all the time, so i know what it's about. It's just a shame that we'll probably never be able to escape the stereotypes

I would rather see a spoof piece mocking the greek system than a real article perpetuating the stereotypes.
