Question accounting software

Does anyone have any recommendations for accounting software? I am trying to find a reasonably priced software to use that also has payroll abilities. I know of QuickBooks and Peachtree, but in both cases you have to buy the software and then also subscribe to the online services! Thanks for any help.

ADPi's entire organization has gone to Quickbooks. We're very pleased with it and found it well worth the cost. We've got Quickbooks online so that our Int'l Finance department can be looking at your books at the same time you are. Then they can walk us through any problems or questions.

At home I've got Microsoft Money and love it for my personal/family accounting. If you want payroll though, you would need to go with a version that is specifically tailored for small business. The "regular" home use editions (Standard, Deluxe, etc.) don't do invoicing or payroll.

When I was treasurer, we used Quicken. Now, our HQ has put together some sort of excel spreadsheet specifically for our chapters' use.
