KD Question
Okay, so question... if you were initiated in fall 2002, but have taken a year off from school and was considered an alum for a semester... would this May be the end of your 4yrs in KD (as a collegiate member, not having to file for the 5th year), OR would next May be the end? See, I'm not sure about this because of the whole not being a student anywhere thing. And I've tried to read the COHB to get a better understanding, but it's not helping. So anyone with a clue would be of GREAT help!
Thanks in advance!

Quickest, most accurate way to get an answer is to drop a line to National and ask them.

First, how could you be out of school for a year, but only be alum for a semester? You cannot be active if you are out of school.
If you went back to school, then did you rejoin your chapter? If you never rejoined the chapter, then it's my understanding that you are still considered alum.
You should check w/ HQ on this, to see if you have left on good standing. kappadelta@kappadelta.org or call the toll free number 800-536-1897.
If you stayed in school, pledged Fall 2002, then Spring 2006 would be the end of your 4th year.

I meant to say alum for a year. Sorry. And yes, def on good standing. And yes, went back as an active to the same chapter where initiated. And I just didn't wanna bother HQ if it was something easy to figure out, but I guess I will.

I was out of school for 2 years and then affiliated with a new chapter... I was only an active member for a sum total of 2.5 years... I went Alum in 2003 at the completion of 4 years of membership in KD with only 2.5 of those years being active. Not sure if that is normal or not, I sent a letter to our CDC and she is the one that approved my Alumni status.
