So a group of students at my school are planning to boycott my favorite bar.
My question is: Aren't bars considered private property and allowed to enforce whatever dress code they please and have restricted entry as long as they are not doing it on the basis of race?
Anyway, here is the posting about the boycott. I personally think they are being ridiculous, but then I guess I'm biased because I spend at least 2 nights a week in the bar. Its my favorite!

ATTENTION ALL GSU STUDENTS AND FACULTY. WE WILL BE COMING TOGETHER TOMORROW EVENING IN PROTEST AGAINST THE WOODEN NICKEL. IN ORDER TO DO THAT WE MUST STOP THERE BUSINESS. On Tuesday September 20th, concerned students and faculty were invited to a city council meeting to address underage drinking at a local establishment. He basically didn't care This establishment is already none for using an unrealistic "logo" dress code and fictitious "v.i.p" list to discriminate against those allowed to enter. Now is the time to take action and we want to be in his face and on his mind until this changes. We want to pressure all the bars and clubs surrounding his business as well to force them to support us. If they realize that they are losing business based on the councilmans decisions they in turn will be forced pressure him as well. MONEY is the bottom line and when they start to lose that they have to change to survive. Please come out and support our community.
The plan is basically this; there are 145 parking spots. We need to legally park in all of them. Please come dressed in professional attire. This is for men and women alike. The point is not however to get in to these establishments. The point is to keep the lines so long and the lot so full that they lose business and do not profit from the evening.

If you have any questions please ask, I know the post about the boycott is a little unclear if you aren't from around here.
