MS & LA Chapters
I don't think there is a post for this specific question, but feel free to combine if so.
Anyway, I wanted to ask those living in Mississippi and Louisiana how the chapters were holding up. Of course, I would like to hear how any sisters are doing in that area. Please let us know!

We Live For Each Other!
Amen, Sister!! I would LOVE to know that all of our sisters who have been affected by Katrina are alright - and if they aren't, what do they need? We live for each other, and I'm sure that I'm not the only person who would help out!!

Yes, if anyone has any information, please post. We are all thinking and praying for all. If you haven't given financially yet, there is a thread on Chitchat where the McCormick Foundation is matching fifty cents for every dollar donated!! Part of an email I received:
Your donation will earn a match of 50 cents for each dollar you contributed. You can be assured that 100 percent of your contribution and the match it earns will go to disaster relief organizations that provide short and long-term aid to those affected by Hurrican Katrina, as all administrative costs are paid for by the McCormick Tribune Foundation.
The McCormick Tribune Foundation has been recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization. As such, your donation is tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Please look for your formal receipt in the mail and retain it for your records.
Your donation will appear on your credit card statement as a payment to the "McCormick Tribune Foundation."

A friend of mine is a XO alum and student at LSU. She said Baton Rouge did okay, but everyone from south Louisiana is in Baton Rouge making for a very crowded city. She says it will be awhile before even LSU goes back in session.

Does anyone know if EO is in the works of putting something together to help out ADPi's that have been affected by Katrina?
I just ask b/c my company is donating a mass amout of $ not only to the United Way (to help all victims) but also doing a lot to help the employees and other team members in that area by donating money to their families, and giving them supplies they might need & helping them find a place to stay, etc.
I think it would be awesome if ADPi did something like this to help sisters in need.

T&P I agree...they definitely should put something together.
I got an email yesterday at work saying my company was donating $1 million to the relief efforts and would match any associates donations to the Salvation Army and Red Cross, I thought that was really nice of them.

There's a link on the ADPi website that says...
"In an effort to help the agencies that are best equipped to handle this type of emergency we are asking members to consider making donations to the Salvation Army, http://www.salvationarmyusa.org/USNSAHome.htm or the American Red Cross, www.redcross.org. There is a message board named Hurricane Katrina on this site that members can access to leave messages and make posts. Please go to the Message Board drop down. There is also information from the Foundation on how to make a donation to one of our emergency funds under the News and Events section of the website."

If you haven't visited the message boards lately on EO's website, there is a sister that has posted who was directly affected by the hurricane. I know there are more sisters out there who were directly affected, but she is the only one I've seen post.
