MY FSU Rush Results!!

hey guys. first let me say sorry for not starting a rush thread!! but of course you can imagine how i was clearly feeling all week .... however i did fairly well.

ice waters of course were overwhelming but an experience to say the least. i found many girls easy to talk to and many videos very inspirational. had some awkward conversations of course but naturally some of us just didn't click.

however, first round i got 15 back and i was shocked to say the least!! but very proud of myself. i had not yet found a sorority of intense interest because obviously there are so many amazing organizations to choose from on this campus it made the decisions tedious!! philanthropy i visited 11 different houses and wow, each home and service project was simply amazing to say the least!! some houses i felt more comfortable in but again, still could not see myself in one particular place!! i started to develop a top 9 or so thought however.

second round i got cut from three houses, 2 that i thought were interesting and would have liked to revisit, but still no favorites so i was not heartboken. out of my 8 remaining i chose 6 houses. skit days was amazing. i don't really want to start naming sororities and who i cut because that would not feel right but i will say the houses whose skits i saw. skit day i visited DZ, DG, Zeta, Theta, Chi-O, and KD. wow. every skit was wonderful in their own way. DZ was hilarious, the girls had amazing energy. DG's was based on Laguna Beach and was so cute and their dancers were amazing. Zeta was great all around and brought tears to my eyes. Same with theta, very well put together and a cute jessica simpson number!! KD's was simply adorable and had an adorable number that i loved. and Chi-O was hilarious as well and i could really see the sisterhood in all of these houses. Needless to say I loved every house i visited that day.

Pref morning came and I got three out of the 6 back, but they were all houses that i admired so needless to say I was not disappointed at all. I dont want to name who I preffed and such because I dont want it to seem that way. But all the prefs were awesome. one really stood out to me however and that was Zeta. The house clicked to me after skit day, I knew I wanted to be there. I went into pref day being dead set (I know it's a bad thing) but that that was the place where I belonged. I just had that feeling that people tried so hard to explain throughout the week and you can't seem to comprehend. Anyways, the pref ceremony got me completely emotional and I was so overwhelmed with feelings.

FINALLY ... BID DAY!!! went on and on and on. however when all was said and done, I got a bid to Zeta!!! I have never felt so overjoyed as I did at that moment. two other girls in my rho gam group got Zeta as well, so we all got to run out to the fountain together. it was seriously the most amazing moment. I want to thank all of you on here for giving me tips and advice on rush and recs and anything else. it was an amazing time. so thank you all!!!

That is awesome news! Zetas have such a wonderful tradition and history of campus achievement at Florida State, and by the way, wonderful young women.
You are well on your way to an amazing 4 years and a lifetime of friendship.
