I couldn't decide if it was incredibly cheesy or kinda fun. I thought John O'Hurly was really pretty good!

I watched because I love me some ballroom dancing. I'm a classically trained dancer (ballet, modern, etc) and have my BFA, but I've never taken ballroom.

I thought John O'Hurly was good, too, but more in his presentation than his actual skills.
I thought Joey was very good - though he needs to relax his shoulders - but I was impressed that he actually got the footwork and it was as quick as hers usually.
I don't know why they were so gung ho over Evander? He grinded her while she danced - not impressive to me.
I was surprised Trista looked as awkward as she did. I thought she danced for the Miami Heat back in the day? I realize they are not the same thing, but you'd think with some dance background she wouldn't have been shown up by Rachel Hunter (who has gorgeous legs and feet!).
Kelly Monaco sucked.

My husband was making fun of me for watching it, but I'll probably continue!

I saw it! I wanted to watch it because it seemed like such a throwback to the days when they used to have programs like Circus of the Stars and such.

Keeping in mind that I'm not an expert on ballroom dancing....

Joey McIntyre - I thought he did a good job. They came out first and really set the tone for everyone else. I agree that he didn't pretty good with his quick footwork.

Evander Holyfield - I don't get why the judges thought he was brilliant. It seemed like all he did was stand there while his partner danced around him. I think they gave him extra credit for being a boxer.

John O'Hurly - Since he was an older gentleman, he couldn't be as snappy as the others. However, I loved the way he just threw himself into the presentation!

Rachel Hunter - She had some very graceful lines as she danced. Nice job.

Trista Sutter - I was distracted by the fact that she kept giggling her way through the performance like she thought it was funny. Perhaps she was really nervous. Also, like one of the judges pointed out, she didn't finish her arm movements and make them last like Rachel did.

Kelly Monaco - I thought they did ok-ish. The judges thought she looked like she had been to a funeral. I think maybe she was trying to convey dignity and elegance in her dance and it didn't pan out. In any case, her attitude afterwards was disappointing; she seemed unlikable.

.....Kelly
