I would totally buy tickets for the midnight showing if I didn't have to work the next morning. My husband and I did go to the first showing (12:00 a.m.) of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban when that came out two years ago. It was really cool to see all the hardcore HP fans out there!!

I did get together 20+ friends to go see Goblet of Fire next Friday night, when we all don't have to work the next morning. I can't wait to see this one!!

You will all go to hell for watching this satanic movie.

On a side note, I'll be buying the DVD when I'm in Indonesia.

Believe me, watching this movie ain't going to make a difference for me...

I can't wait to see it! Unfortunately, I have to attend a conference out of town the weekend that it opens. I'm sad, because going to the Harry Potter movie on opening night has been my birthday thing for a couple years (whenever the new Harry Potter comes out in November). I guess I'll have to wait until the next week to see it, but maybe it's better that way...at least I won't have to throw screeching rugrats out of my way as I try to wrangle the best seat in the theater.

I'm going Friday night... later. Hopefully (though I doubt it) all the tweens will have seen it the night before. When I saw POA, every time an actor would come on, the girls in the front would start SCREAMING!

We'll see. But I'm still excited.

I'm hoping to go Friday - I have class at night, but maybe I'll get out early (or others will want to go to a late showing with me ), and then I have class the next morning, too

As long as I see it next weekend, I will be happy.

I cannot wait for this movie to come out. The preview looks really good! I probably won't see it until I go to VA for Thanksgiving though. That's the kind of movie I want to see with my family.

I too am waiting until Thanksgiving to watch it with my family, when my parents cocme up to Virginia to visit us....It is a "tradition" for my mother, sister-in-law and I to see them at Thanksgiving. This time I think everyone is going (including my father, brother and my bf)

Not to brag... but I saw the movie on Sunday! (It was a sneak preview in Miami... that's one of the perks of being friends with the local TV station's movie critic!) It was absolutely AMAZING- and definitely my favorite HP movie so far (which is funny, since Goblet of Fire is my favorite book of the series)!
So yeah, the new director rocks... and the movie is SO funny in some parts, and really sad in others. You guys won't be disappointed

Questions...does is have all the IMPORTANT parts of the book?!? I was truly dissapointed with the third movie because it left out many of the important parts of the book that could have taken only 5 more minutes to explain. I was really hoping this one would follow the first two movies and put more of the book in it.

I'm going to be really honest- I don't remember. I read Goblet of Fire so long ago that I can't really say (which reminds me- I really need to re-read the books... maybe after I graduate!). But I remember liking that book the best, definitely, and I thought this movie did the series justice. I personally found it more similar to the first two movies than the third, if that helps at all.

I'm Saying I'm hoping for a rugrat free showing, although, I know that may be impossible.

Good, that gives me hope!! While the first two movies did not put everything in it that the books had, they were pretty damn close. I am not saying that I would want every single situation in the book in the movie, that would take hours, I just don't want the important parts left out. I guess I was dissapointed with the third movie because it is my favorite book of the series and I was looking for more out of the movie. From the sounds of it, this one looks like it is going to stay more true to the book. I can't wait to see it!!
