Chip, I agree with you.
I attended a full Regional that was like 20 Min from home.
Could have driven each day with out a problem.
But Ripleys Beleive it or not, it was cheeper for me to stay at the Friggen Hotel than it was to drive.
Never figured that one out to this day.
Second one, could only make the Dinner, but wrote a check for meal and a little more.
Got My Picture taken with Larry Brinkley, but when they introduced me for being a # 1 Pin, I was in the Toilet
So much for a fleeting Posterity!
For Brothers who live in the area, You Really should go. It is an eye opening experience and very rewarding.
I was @ the oldest one attending and not only had a Fantastice time with My Zeta Brothers, but in meeting Brothers and Staff from all over.
It is like meeting Brothers on GC, but as with GA, I met many others who I met on GA, but not face on. Jono of course I knew and Bud Peirce one of My Alums, now High Pi at UNLV, but some of the very familiar names on GC, dont need to name them as You all know them or of them!
If at all possible, GO.
If they have another in KC, I will be there for sure!

I'm scheduled to go as a rep. from Oklahoma City Univ. I'll either be doing Impact III or the recruitment workshop.
However, there is a possibility my parents might want to go to Europe at the same time so that puts a decision on my plate.
Question for anyone in the know: Will the recruitment boot camp and other chapter operation workshops be scheduled at the same time as the Impact sessions? I expect so, but I would really love to go to the recruitment workshop as well.
I'm hoping the ritual performance is seperate because I for sure want to witness that.

Planning to attend
I will be attending, although I have no clue what I'll be doing. As a High Pi (and attorney in real life) I suspect that I'll either be wrapped up with the chapter standards committee or perhaps risk management issues.

John (and any other alums attending): I understand from speaking w/both Dan Doherty & Tim Reuter that there'll be plenty of alumni-based programming. The High Pis and any other interested alums will be given Level I Impact training on Thursday. The remaining days will feature various workshops.
If y'all are going, stop by the workshop that deals w/alumni assns. & housing corps; it'll be given on Friday & Saturday. I have it on good authority that it'll be a good one (that is, if I ever get a chance to finish writing it & putting together some groovy graphics).
ZAX,
BF

I'm there. Just make sure they give you a computer and projector that work!
I'll always sit through one of Bill's workshops; graphics or none.

New LCD projector
I have a NEW LCD projector that I can bring. New, small, bright, and the price is right.

For the record, my problems w/the projector stemmed from not hooking it up BEFORE I'd booted up during my first workshop. That was rectified the 2nd time around.
However, I'd think Dan Doherty would welcome knowing that a projector's available. Give him a shout @ IHQ (BTW, I've got a Mac PowerBook G4 running OS 10.3.9--would it work on my system?).

LCD & Apple stuff
It should work - you've got a port for an external monitor, right?

I'll be there (but then that's part of my job, right?). So will my son Andrew, who has just finished his second year at Univ. of Denver and is High Kappa. Apologies from a proud Dad.
