Girls persuing guys

Girls, have you ever persued a guy? How did he react?

If you have not, do you think you will in the future?

If you answered no to both questions, what are your objections?

Guys, has a girl ever persued you? Did you like it?

Yeah, I asked a guy out and we ended up together for 3 1/2 months. Worked for me!

A majority of the boys I dated in college were boys that I pursued. So, I guess that's a positive reaction.

Yes, but in varying degrees.

Hooking Up – If I hook-up with a girl the first night I meet her, I will never seriously date her. She might think what were doing is dating but it’s not, it’s just sex until you realize that you don’t mean anything to me and you a find a guy who actually likes you. Now I’m sure some of you ladies might freak out about this but keep in mind the only girls I have ever hooked up with on the first night are the ones who pursued me in that manner.

Numbers – If a girl gives me her number without me asking for it, I’m ecstatic. Because honestly even when I get numbers from girls half the time I don’t call. Don’t ask me why I don’t have a legitimate answer. But if she takes the time to give me her number I will call 100% of the time.

Dates – Now I’ve had two different types of dates where a girl asked me out. One just the pretty standard date…I drove, paid for everything etc. But I’ve also been asked out where she took on the dominant roll by paying and picking everything. It was pretty relaxing not to have to worry about anything but it was very weird being paid for. I’ve come to the conclusion that if you ask me out then it better not just be a way to get a free meal but in the same sense don’t go full out. Treat me to dinner or a movie but don’t go full out because it feels emasculating having someone pay for the entire evening.

Do I like being pursued by girls? Sure who doesn’t. Have any of them ever developed into a significant relationship? In high school yes, but not in college.

For the most part I will only persue a little bit, as in make it known I'm interested in a guy but beyond that I'm more willing to sit back and see what he does next....it has worked out so far...

When a girl persues me, I use it for what it's worth. It just goes against my entire concept of dating and the game. I have fun, but if she wants anything more than a few hook ups, she will end up disappointed.

I only date girls that I persue, and not many of them.

All of you are lying.....

Girls that chase guys get used unless the guy is desperate and no one else is trying to fuck him. Fact is it's not a challenge and thats why the girls get used, they're easy.

Is there a balance tho? The way I see it is the girl who could care less about whether the guy likes her or not isn't going to get the guy's attention. I don't think a girl needs to chase just...quickly walk. You have to put SOMETHING out there in order for it to be reciprocated...

I think some clarifications are in order...

Firstly, chase and pursue are 2 completely different words, I think they've wrongly been used synonymously here, but we can fix that. And we're talking about pursuing a guy, not his penis. Why'd you bring that in, no one had brought up sex *cough*Freudian slip*cough*

I pursued my first husband. We worked together, ran into each other at parties and I flirted with him a lot. When we had a mixer with his fraternity, I asked him to walk me home. We sat outside the library and talked for a long time. I asked him to my formal. We dated exclusively from then until we got married 4 years later. He was pretty shy and kind of social phobic, so I don't know if he would have asked anybody out first. He had only had one girlfriend before me and that was in highschool, and they had dated for a couple years. It started when she asked him to a dance. My "pursuit" ended with asking him to my formal. From there, it was up to him whether we continued or not.

I also pursued my second husband, I guess. I was at Happy Hour with all my co-workers and I told them I was going to practice flirting with this guy who was playing a video game. I was pretty newly divorced from the first husband. He asked me for my number, but I had initiated the contact. I would call that "pursuing". He called and asked me out two days later.

Dee

Or maybe we're the ones using the boys.

I've pursued lots of different guys over the years. I dated one off and on for most of college. So that worked out well for awhile, I guess.

And yes, I will be persuing it in the future, again. As soon as I can figure out when that hot guy is going to be working again.
