A stupid PC question
I'm pretty savvy, but since I am my own IT department, I need to ask for some help on something thats got me angry.
I've done it before, but I dont remember how. How the hell do I stop a program from auto-run on startup? I've got too many things going on in my system tray and one app in particular that I only use monthly, if that, for uploading jobs to the printer and it is causing conflicts with outlook. I want to turn off auto run so I can only use it when needed instead of it sitting there drinking memory.
Any help is appreciated.

There are lots of shareware programs for it, but here's how to do it manually http://www.pcworld.com/howto/article...,115628,00.asp

yeah - msconfig is the easiest....there's a startup tab & you can pretty much get rid of (uncheck) them all
