Madagascar

Well, went and seen it last night. I'm afraid to say that I was disappointed in this film. I expected it to be up there with Shrek.

It was an overall cute movie and of course family friendly, but if you're expecting humor like Shrek, Finding Nemo, etc...you won't get it. (At least in my opinion )

However, I liked the penguins

I personally loved it. I do think i was the only person laughing in the theater, well it could be that i am so loud that i did not hear anyone else. But i thought it was super funny. I agree its not shrek or nemo, but i was not expecting that. I think it can stand all on its own. I thought it was funny and cute and told a good story about friendship.

I took the kids to see Madagascar yesterday and I thought it was pretty funny. There were a lot of references to other movies and little spoofs within it. In fact, I want to watch it again to catch more of them! The one that stood out most to me was the Spalding ball (think Castaway). Too funny! I loved the penguins!

I saw it the other weekend. It was cute but I guess I was expecting a little bit more from it. I thought it was going to be as funny and as enjoyable as Finding Nemo. It wasn't. It was still a good movie, though.

Dito... it doesnt match up to recent animations... It seemed like every character had ADHD... too much hyperactivaty and randomness

HC no one has mentioned King Julian (or Julius?). He was hilarious! The penguins were good too (so were the monkeys). But the film was a bit slow to get going.

I have to say I was very disappointed. I fell asleep during some of it. And what's up with King Whatever having an Indian accent? I thought Madagascar was off the coast of Africa.

I liked it. I love the "Lady Liberty" part (darn you, darn you all to heck!). And the penguins. I thought it was a cute, funny movie, although it was a little slow.

I haven't seen it and never intended to (even though that is where my family's from), but my nephew's still into it weeks after he saw it. He walks around the house going "I like to move it, move, I like to move it, move it..."
