How was your 4th of July weekend?

Well, mine sucked horribly. I got in a wreck driving someone else's car. I was in the ER for 4 1/2 hours because of a pulled groin after lifting too much weight at the gym while bench pressing. My car got broken in to and my check book was stolen along with a Bar'B'Que set for grilling I had in the trunk that I was giving to someone as a gift. My best friend from my childhood popped up at my door at 11pm friday night all fucked up and sad because him and his wife got in a big fight and she left him saying they were getting a divorce.....so I had to deal with that all weekend. I passed out in the middle of sex pissing my GF off because i drank waaaaaay too much smirnoff 100 with my boy to help ease his troubles with his wife/ now ex-wife. It was a horrible weekend.

ETA: I got called a vagina a million times by my friends for not partying with them holiday weekend style.

pretty quiet. went to two barbecues. did not drive as there were police out everywhere. stayed in last night and watched fireworks on TV and got away with porching my car overnight.

The weekend was boring, I had to work. But the actual 4th was stellar...I haven't had such a great time in years!!! Counting down for next year....

It was fun. I went bar hopping with friends on Friday night. I spent Saturday at a car dealership almost all day. Bought a new car so now I'm all excited about driving around! Went to dinner with the boyfriend that night to celebrate and drank waaaay too much. I spent Sunday on my couch nursing a hangover and did a low key get-together at friend's house Sunday night. Yesterday, I went to a friend's house for a barbecue and then saw some fireworks.
It was overall a really good weekend. I definitely wasn't ready to go back to work today. I think there should be more 3 day weekends!

My weekend was great - I was on my honeymoon until the 3rd, and yesterday we got back and just relaxed before going back to work today.

I watched the fireworks on TV rather than going to the Esplanade - hopefully my next apartment will be further in towards the city and I can walk down next year.

Mine was pretty fun. I drank wayyyyy too much on Friday night and ended up getting sick, but I got to see the Black Eyed Peas in concert for free down under the STL Arch, plus an amazing fireworks show.

My actual 4th sucked b/c we came back to Columbia and now I'm sick with the flu, booooo.

Not the best 4th I've ever had.

We drove 5.5 hours (one way) to visit my husband's uncle in Lawrence, KS, shoot off illegal fireworks in his driveway.

And it rained, so they didn't even get to shoot off that many.

About 18 hours after we got there, we turned around and drove 5.5 hours back.

Had a cookout with a friend and then watched the fireworks in town.

Pretty much the most pointless holiday we've had.

Mine sucked rotten eggs. I had plans to go out of town, but someone broke into my car Thursday night smashing my window and tried to steal my CD player. The weekend was getting all that fixed (because of course, it cost the same as my deductible so there went my weekend cash).

Oh yeah, we had tornados and lightening too which killed the "plan B" trip to the lake (which ended up damaging most of the marinas at said lake)

Ours was good....we went to Disneyland and they re-opened Space Mountain early for the holiday weekend (it's not supposed to be reopened until the 15th!). The crowds were manageable and we had a great time! Left before the fireworks as that's when the crowds REALLY got bad!! LOL

mine was good. went down to san diego. only had one beer. pretty much passed out at 9pm.

went back up to OC the next day. stayed in Irvine and passed out at around 10pm.

i took my girlfriend to eat some vietnamese food. she didn't like it. but she still ate it anyway. i loved her even more just for trying.

Chilled in a parking garage for about an hour and a half.

seriously though. it was great times.

mine was great...we drove down to dillard, ga for the 1/2 way point on friday, then continued on down to Charleston, SC.

The weather was beautiful, the women were beautiful, the beach was great and our drinks were comped b/c my brother owns a bar there...CBW. damn fine time.

went down to san diego. only had one beer. pretty much passed out at 9pm.

went back up to OC the next day. stayed in Irvine and passed out at around 10pm.

i went with my boyfriend to eat some vietnamese food. I didn't like it. but I still ate it anyway. i love vietnamese people, just not the food.

Went to Fire Island Sat & Sun...love love love Ocean Beach. Had a great time at the sharehouse of one of my alumnae sisters...we had a blast being Dancing Queens Saturday night..

Sunday night was chill back here in the city..went out for sushi saw Cinderella Man and had all in all a great evening with the boy. Monday we had brunch & walked in Central Park.

Probably one of the better summer weekends I've had in a while...

Definetly was thinking of the few soldiers I know over in Iraq...
