Ritual Songbook on Ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...983219545&rd=1
While I am saddened that it is up for bid, it might be a nice collectable for one of us to have. I would suggest not bidding on it at all, but it already has 19 bids.
I know that many times the seller has been snarky about suggestions to return greek stuff to headquarters, so I tried to circumvent that by leaving a message to other bidders in the "questions" section.. hope people see it!

This book has shown up a lot on ebay. The thing I laugh at is that it really isn't ritual and if there were ritual songs in there how would anyone else know but us? All it is is an old Song book. They like to put ritual in titles like that to drive up sales and upset members of that org. Silly people. It is sad to see how many have bid on this and how much the stupid seller is going to make.

good point!
i was kind of surprised at how high the bid had already gotten.. yowzas! also there were several badges for bid, and i found the sellers' info to be incredibly anal and rude.. "only polite questions, don't ask where the item was found, we will not return this so don't ask".. i feel like if they are going to sell something so obviously controversial then they should suck it up. it's kind of hypocritical in that it's ok to put that item up for bid and annoy members, but it won't do to have the seller bothered by anyone.
sorry to ramble.. i'm in insomniac mode!

ok but, did you read the titles that they listed for the songs included in that book?
let's pretend that it's true, and they're all in there. i hope a sigma kappa wins that auction

no, i think you're right because i think because the item was described as a "ritual songbook" i didn't realize that the actual title of the item is "sigma kappa songbook". i didn't even recognize most of the songs in there.. my bad! i hope a sigkap gets it too because regardless i think that would be a nice addition to a sister's collection.
did anyone see the sellers id... "tigerinthesack".. ha ha.

yeah...like even if someone didn't know which songs, if any, were ritual songs...they'd still have a book that belongs to sigma kappa. i really don't see the point...i guess it must be worth something possibly? not sure, but ebay makes me mad because any old person could just buy our stuff...stuff like the song book and pins, ect...that stuff means so much to members but i guess it's all about money.
