Thumbs down No SGRho and IPhi

yo .... we outlaws ... we for us... we dont need other peoples weight on our shoulders... outlaws arent always accepted... i thinl this proposed aliance with SGRho could be perceived as an attempt to be accepted more within the noble nine... we have to do us ... dont worry about others

What proposed alliance? There is no such proposal under consideration.

when i said alliance it was not meant in a formal sense. everywhere i go and even discussion in here reflects the "alliance" of SGRho and IPHI. It may just be out of greek love but my comments came out of frustration with that organization. All I have had was bad experiences with the vast majority of SGRhos that I have encountered. If it was up to me I say leave them alone but please take my comments more as blowing off steam and not ignorance to this issue.

Question

Knowledge 1999 - Why are you frustrated with my organization? Care to elaborate?

Because you may have had bad experiences with some of my Sorors don't put us all in one basket and put the whole sisterhood down.

And what do you mean by "leave them alone". You sound so ignorant. Just because you may have had several bad experiences with some of my Sorors doesn't mean that you can't experience true friendship and respect with another. Besides you haven't met me yet

Let me state it for the record as I have done on the SGRho board and as Iota Net has done here. "WE HAVE NO OFFICIAL BROTHER ORGANIZATION." What people have gotten all bent out of shape about is a tribute page written by one of your members because his girl was an SGRho and he had good experiences with us and he chose to express it. THAT IS ALL!

MAY I PLEASE CLEAR ONE THING UP!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am the one who made the "page" up, so I figure that I better clear a few things up *again* so people know what's up. *smile*

I DID NOT DO IT JUST BEACUSE I DATE A MEMBER OF SIGMA GAMMA RHO SORORITY, INCORPORATED.

I did it b/c I have had some GREAT experiences with the members (especially my girlfriend's chapter *Omicron Omicron* and Epsilon Zeta at VCU) of that illustrious organization and have been treated like a king by some ladies of RHOYALTY. *smile*

So I chose to express my thanks (and the thanks passed along by nationals themselves to the MANY members of SGRho that attended the Headquarter's dedication
*I think IOTANET issued the formal thank you on Simply Greek awhile back*) in this fashion.

BlueReign (hey how ya been?) knows that my feelings are sincere and in NO WAY have I asked for a bro/sis relationship. We all can stand alone (you know the deal), but we are apart of a larger community: the BGLO community as well as many other communities.

Why separate when we can get along and make positive things happen. We are a strong unit with alies you know.

Plus, not all of us have had bad experiences (sorry that you did frat, but BlueReign is right: do not let a few spoiled apples ruin the sweetness of the apple tree *smile*).

So much luv and respect to you frat, BlueReign (keep doing great things), IOTANET (hold it down frat), and EVERYONE.

And please forgive the caps and the bold text, but I wanted to get my feelings across.

Holla!!!!!!!!!

Speaking of IPhi and SGRho...

The newest topic on the SGRho forum is Greek Unity. Do you represent?

Cool

Bruh,

There is not an alliance with SG Rho at all. I think that we understand each other more than anything else and why you may ask? It is because we are the last or babies of the noble 9. Even though Sigma Gamma Rho was founded in 1922, they are still struggling just as we are to make strides. So it is not a brother/sister thing. It is an understanding and great respect for one another because we know what each is going through.

Unhappy No SGRho and IPhi

Why would any brother of Iota Phi Theta be opposed to an alliance with Lovely ladies. The term 'outlaw' means against the law, are you saying that the Brothers of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. are criminals. I dont think of myself as such, not to mention the many chapters and continued growth in the south is simply because was part of the Divine Nine. My advice to you brother is to reconsider Iota's position in the scheme of things. You will realize that Iota may not need allies but it is always good to have them. Even England needed allies during World War II.

I feel very strongly about this.

I want to put this as simple as I may put it. What my boy was trying to say was, he has had bad relations with these ladies at our college. In a matter of fact, all of our brothers at the chapter have experienced some bad relations with these ladies. For the record no one chapter of any organization can truely represent the whole. I happened to like Sigma Gamma Rhos, however the one at our college can learn a thing or two about how to conduct business with respect when dealing with another organization. times 12 brown

I agree. I attended the NYC SGRHO RhoyalFest this past Summer and really did not know alot of people there. These wonderful sisters introduced me around and I felt very welcome!

What's going on?

I've never heard of this so-called "alliance" between SGRho and Iota Phi Theta. Maybe it's because I am from alabama and we always seem to get the latest news last. As far as I'm concerned Sigma Gamma Rho never has and never will have a "brother" organization unless our constitution is suddenly re-written. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing but love for all of my male greek counterparts, but I don't like it when others try to make it seem as if the SGRhos are desperately seeking a brother. This is definately not the case because we have been standing on our own ever since 1922 and we will continue to do so until the end of time. So for the record my sorors and I are able to get along and kick it with any fraternity from TKE (white fraternity) to Iota Phi Theta not because we need a brother, but because we're just cool like that! EE-YIP! Thanks!
