Thoughts on Jessica Simpson's Marital Status?
I keep seeing all these mags with the rumors of the impending break up of Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey (sp?) and as much as I would like to give them the benefit of the doubt, I am starting to find that alot of these mags usually end up being right. I will be curious to see if this rumor pans out as well. Personally I think that if Jessica really is the way she acts on the show, I am surprised they made it this far--Nick must have the patience of a saint. Anyone else care to share their opinion?

On being married "forever".....well, forever is a bloody long time. I don't know if they'll make to the 5 year mark, to be honest with you. Oh well.
(The only longterm "Hollywood" marriages that I can think of are Charlton Heston and his wife, and also Paul Newman & Joanne Woodward).
the end.

I think perhaps the honeymoon phase is wearing off and Nick is starting to realize that he really married a Barbie doll.

That's an insult to the intelligence of the average BarbieŽ Doll, as manufactured by Mattel.

Oops, my bad. Jess does resemble a Barbie doll, but that's not to say her IQ is as high as the plastic version. Sorry to all Barbies out there!

I don't really keep up with all those magazines, but I do remember reading on the internet somewhere that Jess & Nick bought some Las Vegas property together not too long ago.

For a moment I thought the title was "Thoughts on Jessica Simpson's Mental Status." Fortunately the answer for both is the same: precarious, and plummeting fast.

Yeah, that was just on ET or one of those other shows last night, they bought a HUGE ASS condo in Vegas.
While some of the publicity is their own fault for opening their homes, people do need to leave them the hell alone when it comes to whether or not they're having marriage problems. As OTW said, who the hell cares?

i think the magazines and critics forget that when Nick and Jessica got married, they were kind of nobodies......and they almost felt like it was remain that way.
well then they do the show and it ends up being an even bigger success than they had expected.....which at first leaves them delighted. their careers are relaunching and they're getting more exposure.
well as time wears on, the exposure gets worse, thus trying their relationship not only in the public spotlight but also on television and in the media.
so i dont think its a matter of Nick or Jessica finally realizing what it takes to make a marriage work but rather they've had to shift a lot of goals and priorities (which every marriage goes through) and re-evaluate what's important in their lives.

I can't believe I actually found a pic of one of these online, and can't believe that the one in the black jumpsuit LOOKS JUST LIKE JESSICA.
