Not to worry. I'm the one that bought it. I'm not really sure what I planned to do with it, I was just so shocked when I saw it that I bid immediately. I don't bid on things like badges but I couldn't help myself on this.

I'm glad this post was made becasue I had forgotten about my bid and hadn't realized I won the auction. As cynical as I am, I thought the picture might even be a forgery or not an original. I'll let everyone know when I receive it.

Some suggestions for what to do with it would be appreciated. I first thought of having it framed and giving to my chapter (Epsilon Theta, Oglethorpe University). But then maybe National really should be the ones to have it. Is the chapter in Lewisburg still active? Maybe they should have the picture.

Y'all help me on this one.

P.S. On a similar note, I purchased some sheet music from Ebay for a song entitled "My Delta Sigma Phi Sweetheart", which was written by a DSP brother from Oglethorpe. I had very little contact with DSP when I was at OU but I just felt they deserved to have the sheet music more than anyone else. I plan to mail it to them, I just don't yet know what to say, "Hi, you don't know me but I bought this for you on Ebay..."? LOL

IT HAS ARRIVED!

I'm still afraid to take it out of its protective plastic. I'll contact Woodstock today and see if they would like it. It's really very interesting (in my opinion ) and I wish everyone could see it.

just a thought - but over in the alpha gam forum we have a thread devoted solely to posters' ebay aliases. that way we can reference the list when we're not sure if we're bidding against another member. not everybody is listed obviously, but it's a start...

Ok, I have contacted National and they would be glad to accept the photograph. I'll be mailing it probably tomorrow. I saved the picture that was on the e-bay site. If anyone is interested and would like to see it, I'd be glad to e-mail it.

Great idea about the ebay alias list!

Sigh, maybe I have opened a can of worms or something because now there is another beautiful Sigma picture on ebay.
I hope someone knows who's bidding. I just don't think I can afford to buy another one. As I said above, I bought the first one without really thinking.
