Angry fraud?

I ordered some flowers online for my mom for Mother's Day ... and she hasn't received them yet.

I used my check card to pay for them.... is there anything I can do to prevent this payment from going through?

I'm really upset... I tried calling customer service a few times today with no avail.

Help?

What company did you order the flowers from? Call your bank to see if the payment went through yet. Also, report the company to the Better Business Bureau.

Find out if the debit has gone through your checking account, if you can retain a copy of the order. Go into one of your bank branches and request an ATM/Debit card fraud purchase form, aka, Regulation E form, aka, banks call them a lot of things. They'll investigate it, you'll moret than likely get your money back and the bank will go after the business. There should also be no fees or charges associated with it, depending on your bank.

PM me if you need any further details. I used to deal with these matters on a daily basis.

Well the flowers never came... their customer service sucks. I have yet to talk to an actual person.

Sunday, I got a phone message saying the company sent me an important message regarding my order. I logged on, checked my email, followed the link and I guess too many people were trying to access the site or something because it said to try again. I gave up on that.

Tuesday passed and still no flowers, I got another phone mesage saying that there was an important message regarding my order, the link finally worked and it said that because of the lack of quality flowers because of the holiday they could not deliver my order. They gave me an option to reschedule the delivery of the order or to cancel. I picked cancel. It said it would take 2-3 days for them to refund my money... so far nothing.

The debit went through the other day (at least the "pending" is no longer there).

Can I use one of those fraud purchase forms if I was the one who made the purchase (i.e. someone didn't steal my card and used it to get flowers for their mom)?

Yes, PLEASE tell us!! mr. honeychile uses teleflorist, which uses a nasty local florist. I'm trying to get up the nerve to tell him to use one of the other plans, and I need all the ammunition I can get!

Yes you can because it also supposed to be used to protect you against bad businesses. It is also supposed to protect you in situations like this; situations where you pay for a certain product or service and you don't receive that product or service.
