Sleeping in the middle of the day
Anyone else feel a lot more tired when they wake up after sleeping in the middle of the day? I rarely does it because of my busy schedule, but when I do it in the weekend, I feel more tired when I wake up.

A daytime nap is a luxury for me and I partake whenever time permits - which is not often.
It is a nice little pick-me-up!

I wish I could get all my sleep in the middle of the day. I usually do most of my work at night and I heavily prefer that. I usually feel better the later in the day I wake up.

I enjoy a mid-day nap very much. But usually it throws of my sleep cycle and it makes going to bed at night really difficult, so I try not to nap so much. Weekends tho, nothing is better than a good cure a hangover nap!

Unless I'm sick, a quick mid-day nap can be the proverbial "Power Nap"!

I do it a lot just b/c of my schedule.
I usually have to wake up 5:30am or so for military pt and then I have a full day of classes. I try and take a nap around 6 or so, b/c otherwise I'm dead when I'm trying to do work or if I have a fraternity event.
During the summer I have sort of the same deal. I wake up at 6 or so and go to work, I'm done by around 4ish. Then I sleep for a few hours and go out to the bars until 3 or so in the morning. It works pretty well.

Yeah that whole "too-early-ish" wake up for PT or other duties has I think programmed my body to desire a seista between 3 and 5, if even for a 1/2 hour.

Power naps for me are great, but they can be no more than an hour. If it goes over that, I am groggy for the rest of the evening and can't get to sleep later that day.
They are coming in handy since I have to wake up at 4:30 am every morning now.

I love naps!!! My naps need to be less than 40minutes or greater than an hour and a half--anything in the middle I am very groggy when I wake.
I love to take a 15-20 minute nap in between the time I get home from work and have to be at daycare to get my kids!

Ditto. I can't sleep during the night if I take naps or if I sleep too late.
