Well the show is about to begin across the pond, a show that should prove to be very interesting for UK politics and foreign relations... Blair might not win, and if he does it looks like a minority government - one that could pressure him into scaling back the UK's commitment in Iraq or US/UK co-operation.
On a personal note I'll be watching the Northern Ireland seats closely - holding onto a futile hope that Ian Paisley might be unseated, or that Gerry Adams might fall too - I'd like to see the dinosaurs of the "Troubles" fade away, and allow new blood to enter and try and heal the community... in the case of West Belfast, the home seat of Gerry Adams, I'll be particularlly watching Liam Kennedy (a prof. from just this past semester) - he left Canada and UofT early in order to run, and run on a ticket opposed to all paramilitaries and the violence they inflict upon a wounded people.
