Apprentice 3
Since the new season begins this Thursday (special time of 8:30pm - 90 minute episode), I thought I'd get a thread started for the new season. You can see the candidates by going to:
http://www.nbc.com/nbc/The_Apprentic...es/index.shtml
I like more of the street smarts candidates just from reading their profiles, but I'm sure my opinions will change once the season gets going. The ones I like so far are (from street team) Angie, Audrey, Chris, Craig, Kristen, Tara, (from book team) Alex, Erin, & Stephanie.
Anyone want to make predictions on the composition of the final two candidates (2 from the same "team" or one of each, 2 boys/girls or one of each, etc - or if you want to single out candidates you think will be in the end - go for it! )

Did anyone watch last night?
I had forgotten that it premiered tonight until I was going through my digital cable guide at about 8:29pm and saw that it was on.
I like Danny and I was sad that his whole team tried to sell him out. I'm glad that Todd got fired in the end.

Todd definately deserved the boot, but I'm betting that Danny's days are deservedly numbered. (George and Carolyn seemed to think so, too.) That marketing "campaign" didn't even rise to the level of lame, and I just don't see Trump hiring someone who wears a leisure suit or tries to boost team morale by leading everyone in camp songs.

I like how they picked total losers for the college educated team and then really well-to-do winners for the high school team. Seriously while you're bringing in ringers for the high schoolers why don't you throw on Richard Branson and a couple other real big shots.
Someone please shoot the idiot with the polyester suits, slap the lawyer girl who can't operate a cash register, and tell the fat high schooler who brought up the house story with Trump to shutup.

Erin is a DG from U. of Miami.... She graduated in 2000, I think. I like the idea of how it's book smarts v. street smarts, should make things interesting. Although, I don't see Donald Trump hiring anyone without a degree even if they're great. The guy with the nasty clothes has to go! He's a marketing exec and that stupid "throw the ball in the hole" was all he could come up with?!

I *completely* agree! I was glad she got peed on - made for some funny moments!
I felt bad that Stephanie "turned" on Danny, but he didn't deserve a champion - his ideas sucked and he didn't listen to anyone (remember him hanging up on Todd? or at least that's what I got out of thatpart )
But the way that the episode was edited, I didn't think the numbers would be that close - the editing made it seem like Magna sod hardly ANY of their specialty item.
Oh well, the fireworks look to be great next week!

That lawyer girl is the cousin of a "colleague" of mine - Erin Elmore is her name. http://www.erinelmore.com/
Honestly, I wasn't too impressed with Erin. Like Rudey mentioned, she just got too flippant about working the cash register.
As for Danny, I think he's just too out of tune with what I think Trump wants. Yes, Todd was a lame project manager, but Danny is a loose cannon. They both needed to go.
The street smarts team, Net Worth, had a great Western-themed promotion. The book smarts team, Magna, had some paper sacks with a hole in it?? Oh boy......

I just gotta ask - how many of you all think "Las Vegas" when you think of the West? (Especially going with the cowboy/western theme)
I'm just curious about what you all think

They had a story on one of the radio stations here about the kid from Boston College. Supposedly he was an intern at Kiss 108, and while he was there he was pretty useless. They were laughing about how he's now a contender for "The Apprentice."

I certainly don't. But I doubt that the chance of winning trips to Laramie or Cheyenne would have the same appeal as a chance for a trip to Vegas.

My first impression is this:
Am I the only one growing weary of the way minority women are portrayed? Are they trying to tell me that what'sherface on "Book Smarts" was the ONLY one with a negative response to Danny's singing and energy? I doubt it, but the best way to stir up the pot was to show her copping an attitude and rolling her eyes when Danny was pushing his "Unbelieveable" motto?!?! Geez!
Otherwise, I thought it was ok...The "Street Smarts" team sure did get a bit duped by the guy running a travel agency out of his 10th floor walk-up!! HA!
