Greek Week (& Sing)

So today we kick off our Greek Week with Greek Sing. I'm so nervous excited I could hardly sleep last night! I'm a freshmen so it's my first time participating in this.

We're doing our dance to Rock N Roll songs (we had to pick "a moment in time"). I Love Rock N Roll, Pour Some Sugar On Me, We Will Rock You, You Shook Me All Night Long, & Dude Looks Like A Lady. We're dancing with Theta Chi boys. The boys are TOTALLY not into it, unlike every other fraternity on campus. They didnt even show up to practice til 2 hours late yesterday! AHHH!!! No wonder I'm nervous. We'll still have fun thought!

Everyone else practiced yesterday from 10am-11pm....we practice from 230-330....LOL
They were all up at 10am....we start at 1230....why must God do this to my nerves?! LOL

Just had to complain and also say how excited I am anyways about Greek Sing & all of Greek Week!!! Our Greek Week shirts for the sorority are hot pink w/ lime green writing which are SOOOO cute. Wish us luck!!!

Our Greek Week started on the 4th and ended on the 9th. Hope you did well in yours! We do greek week differently than most schools... the sororities compete with the sororities and the fraternitites compete with the fraternitites. It gets pretty competetive. I'm assuming your greek sing is similar to our talent show? The sororities usually do dances with skit in between and the fraternities usually do skits... but more and more they're doing dances too and it's soo funny! I didn't get to participate in talent show this year because I got tonsilitus that day so I was in bed! But we got first place in that event and our idea was so great! We did the theme of "Sigma Career Day". We had skits in between four short dances... the whole thing can only be 8 min long. We did a song to Works hard for the Money, then to incorporate all the greeks we did a sort of dance to a song from School House Rocks called Wall Street. Of all the fraternities and sororities on campus we did all of them using briefcases with letters on them to make all the organizations. It turned out great. Then we did a dance to Fever, On Fire/Really Hot and ended it with Working 9-5. It was great! We got second overall in greek week... by 1pt! We got second to our biggest rival too! How'd you end up doing?

We practiced for about two months straight for talent show, usually at night and usually at least 4 days a week from like 9 or 10pm til at least 12am! It was long but well worth it!

Your shirts sounded cute... what did they say? No way would we ever get pink and green shirts! But ours were great this year... They said "Mind Over Matter" on the front and on the back "We Don't Mind and You Don't Matter" a lil cocky, but they are cute!
