20gb ipod v. mini?

Hey everyone,

I did the whole freeipod thing and my ipod was shipped today! I ordered to 20gb "regular" ipod but now I'm having second thoughts and wondering if I could trade it in at the apple store for a green mini (probably the 6gb).

I don't have THAT much music.. although I've heard it's pretty easy to fill them up. My bf thinks I should stay with the 20gb, but the minis are so cute and I don't know if I'd ever fill 20gb. Still, the 20 is probably more practical.

What do you think?

Also, for those of you with ipods.. what case do you use?

Thanks

P.S. Please no comments about how the freeipod thing is a scam.. it's not -- I know plenty of people who have received their ipods and I have the tracking info from DHL I'm not trying to spam anyone since I already completed everything needed for my ipod and don't need referrals or anything for it at this point.

I got a mini for Christmas and I only have like 50 songs in it. It'll be a while before it's completely filled up.

I have the 20gb iPod. I love it. I don't think I will ever reach its capacity, but I added 300+ songs the night I bought it and have tons more I still need to add. I would stick with the 20gb--it is more practical. I don't think I have alot of music, bit I am sure I could fill a mini.

And the white iPod is kind of iconic. In my office we aren't allowed to have radios (stupid rule if you ask me)--- but it is too quiet in there for me--so I will use my iPod, you would not believe the number of people who walk by, catch a glimpse of it, stop and ask all sorts of questions. People in my office just stare at it like it some awe-inspiring object they worship-- they are a strange bunch of people!!!!

I have a mini and it has like 400 songs so far. I'll probably end up filling it, but I can change the songs, and I like that it's smaller and lighter becuase I take it to work out.

keep the 20 gig, you can use it as an external hard drive also (one guy stored entire programs like photoshop on his ipod and would just plug it into another computer so he would have it no matter where he went!). You can store photos, videos, and other stuff on there (don't need to have the ipod photo- you just won't be able to see them on the screen). I think it's worth it

I love my mini (it's adorable) but I should've spent the extra $50 for the 20 gig. I have over 3000 songs on my computer, and I can fit 1/3 of that on my mini. You may not fill the 20 gig for awhile, but you can put your entire CD collection on it if you want.

I got my iPod mini a few months ago. It's blue.

I chose a mini because I don't have a whole lot of music that I'd want to carry around with me (I think my 4GB iPod is less than half full) and the mini is lightweight. I've read reviews that say the mini is particularly fragile, so I keep mine in a neoprene case (Marware). If you have a ton of music, the regular iPod might be a better choice.
