MTV's Tiara Girls

So it's 1st episode was this past week... not as good as I expected, but maybe it'll get better with time. We'll see I suppose. Interesting idea though since America seems to be fascinated by pageants and all things beauty.

I personally found it annoying.

The little I caught, the parents and her pageant coach were more "into it" than she was.

Her dad actually had the gull to say that he was going to call her principal and get her out of her work! WTF!!!!????!!!!!! I was absolutely appalled by that. Obviously these parents are living their dreams through their kids

Seriously, thousands of girls/women do pageants. Only 1 gets to be miss "city", only 1 gets to be miss "county" and only 1 gets to be miss "state". I get that there are other pageants out there but let's face it these womens goals aren't to just win Miss po-duck, their goal is to become miss "state" so they can go on to Miss USA or Miss America. And we only have 1 of each of those.

I guess her parents thought they could buy her a crown. She's just another spoiled brat riding on daddy's coat-tails who thinks money can buy everything.

What kind of speech coach was that? When I heard her little sing-songy introduction about pickle juice and pot bellied pigs, I knew she wouldn't get very far. The judges can see right through that kind of canned speech.. especially one delivered with no heart.

She wasn't at all as pretty as the other contestants (in fact, I didn't think she was pretty.. period!) and her personality had a hard edge to it, so it's no wonder that she didn't make the cut. But, c'mon... at least have some grace about losing. Instead, she went on a tearful rant about being gyped. She succeeded in embarrassing herself on national TV. She made herself look like the spoiled brat/sore loser that she is.

Yes, I admit, I find these types of shows a guilty pleasure.. but this show, "Daddy's Spoiled Girl" and "Sweet 16" are sending out very alarming messages to teenage girls. They are teaching that money and looks buys you everything.. including friends. How sad.

That's so how I am. I actually didn't like this show very much at all, but I just couldn't help but to watch...

Her parents (Dad) bought her a $3600 feather gown that she's not going to wear even though she said she would. She had a F-U-N-K-Y-A-S-S attitude as though she should have won. The child has no humility or modesty. When she didnt make the top 10 (which I knew she wouldn't) she sulked and then cried croc tears
and pouted and then pronounced that she didnt want to go back on stage. Girl please

This is a PRIME example of how NOT to raise children

ETA
The correct price of the gown and here is the link to the Miss Florida Teen USA webpage. She is listed with the other contestants.miss florida teen usa Scroll down on the right side to "Meet the Contestants"

Seriously I think they went out and looked for the worst pageant people out there... they need to show a winner already. All these girls are no good.

Some of these girls/women look SO OLD. Maybe it's a pageant thing.

There are alot of pageants for kids/teens up to 18, but one would think that the older you get, the fewer titles there are to compete for.

I think alot of them are trying too hard to make themselves pageant-worthy. It's like they want to do it so much and it doesn't come naturally to them.

Am I the only one with that feeling?

Poor girl. I too was glad they FINALLY had a winner. It kinda stinks to hear that they still don't. Can we PLEASE have a REAL winner next week?
