Sorry to say, but I do not believe I have ever heard from a brother that went to Maryland on this website.
I did meet one of their brothers last year at General Assembly, he sat next to me all weekend, really cool guy I learned a lot about their school and he learned a lot about mine. We talked about Maryland's hatred for Duke, I thought it was funny because Duke fans don't give a crap about them.
Anyway, he said the chapter there is doing well, they just got a beautiful new house a couple years ago and are now on fraternity row, which will help them out during rush. Two big fraternities just got kicked off campus there and that will also help them out. I believe they have about 70 members or so and they are about to do big things there so you should stop by and help out.
More to this. I just looked up some info about their chapter, #1 ifc fraternity in grades with a 3.22 average, and top 3 in membership (72). I figured this chapter was really good from the guy I met, but they are an unheralded Lambda Chi Alpha chapter that deserves a lot of praise with impressive statistics like these, and the quality of brothers they have.
Overall, maryland's greeks numbers for being a relatively big state school are rather small with no chapter over 85 people, but it seems like Lambda Chi Alpha is about to do big things there.
